I posted a number of "George Bush"es in this post, as well as my message about the democrats.

I see my post has been dramatically edited, destroying the impact of the point I was making - which is that all the Democrats ever say is "George Bush". Grinner was saying that Kerry isn't on the ballot - well neither is Bush. And yet that is the only thing you ever hear from Democrats lips.

This is censorship of a kind that should not be tolerated in the Current Events forum. The most nonsensical part of it was a claim I was "spamming". Perhaps if the moderator in question was more political astute, they would have understood the reason for the multiple "George Bush"es, and the fact that they were integral to the point I was making.

It is OK for moderators to follow a poster around and say "Guvnorspaz" 20 times in a day. It is not OK for me to make a specific - if extremely unpopular on the Caf - political point, as that is "spamming".

I am owed an apology.

I really am narked about it. It was blatantly obvious what I was trying to say, and I get a "don't spam in here" message with my point gutted.

Somebody needs to own up to this, and explain to me why suddenly there is such a dramatic need to cut specific material from a certain post, and then accuse its author of "spamming".

I have not political ideal as such. I want to hear policies before I vote.

If someone gets 'report posts' on it as "Spam" he needs to think why it just might be that someone might want to force my silence in the current events before he acts like the Singaporean government and starts dictating what can and can't be said in the Current Events forum.

Could it just be the natural tendency for lefties to force silence upon those they don't like? Brave people. Instead of arguing my point, they simply ask for me to be censored out of existence.

I'd appreciate it if I was allowed to make my own political points without having my posts re-written, considering the fact that spamming the forum with corpse pictures has been deemed OK in the past. Cheers.

Thanks for extending me the courtesy that every single other poster in the Current Events would get without having to ask for it.
