Supports
Aston Villa
Was he any good?

Looking at Wiki and he had one season and won the Dutch cup but resigned over lack of support so fairly vague summary.

Unlikely he'll get the job but Man. United do have winnable games either side of November international break and he'll have support in the media if he also gets a shock win over Chelsea.

Don't think we should expect anything more than a vibes boost, which alone should be quite big and nice

Can't say I followed him closely but from what I read on here, he seemed well-rated and like he was doing a good job. I think his resignation came as a surprise. But again, if he was rated high enough, I'm not sure why he took on the role of an assistant manager?

But yeah, if ever we even slightly entertained any sort of notion of handing him a permanent opportunity, I hope at the very earliest, it's at the end of the season when a fair-enough assessment can be made (one would hope we find a permanent manager well before then, of course).

Don't think this needs a new thread. Can discuss his previous work and how that relates to United in Interim thread.
