According to Michael Owens Mothers source January 2003 was the month when this transfer would definately happen. It was dead certain.

Therefore I find it appropriate to monitor this transfer deal in a separate thread so people don't forget how well connected Softlad and MOM are.

I'm sorry to disappoint the liverpool fans, but Rafael van der Vaart will stay with AJAX, he wont go anywhere! :)
When he goes, he'll go to Spain, but that's something that everybody knows...
Why would he want to go to Liverpool anyway??
- Why would he go back to Uefa Cup?
- Why would he let himself be wasted just like Litmanen was?
He won't, he's not that stupid, well I hope so...
If he goes to England I think Man Utd suits him best..

Probably not, but after the way Litmanen was treated at Liverpool, I doubt RVDV would gothere after talking to Jari. Jari was probably the best footballer to wear a Liverpool shirt in the past few years and never got a game!!!!

I think 'rotation football' will someday ruin big clubs' chances of securing the services of top players in the world.

I can almost certainly feel we can rule out RVDV joining United. With a midfield set of Scholes, Veron, Keane, Becks, Giggs, Butt there's no chance RVDV will want to warm up the bench for this midfield knowing his only chances of getting games will be if someone gets injured - or he has to accept 20 starts a year period.

He may come, but it most likely will be at the expense of us maybe offloading Giggs.

RVDV has to be a replacement, not an addition. He'll be too expensive a player to warm the bench IMO.

This could be a key reason why he may want to join Pooshit. Pooshit can offer him 60 first team games a year because RVDV can probably replace anyone in that crap midfield.
 
Van der Kwal won't play 60 matches, coz he'll be injured all the time...
 
LOL typical psv fan. But I'd have to agree that he does get injured alot, yet he's still very young so that might or might not change in the future.
 
Ah, I'm fair enough to agree that he's a good player, but everybody just keeps talking about how good he is and comparing him with Cruyff and I think that's all just a little over the hill.
I'd like to see him in a few years and if he's still that good (or has improved) I will take back all my words I said about him (nah, not all of them, he's still a kamper).
