The air.
Anyone else been watching this? It's been getting very good now, just had the episode where
Anna punches Lisa so she becomes a damsel in distress to get the boyfriend back...I cant remember his name for the life of me!
air.

People in the US please be carefull with your spoilers or I will eat you.

Already watched the first series. It's not bad, but it's nothing special really. Don't think most of the characters are particularly well crafted and I don't really care what happens to them.

While it's a decent enough way to kill an hour, I wouldn't really care if it got cancelled.

Yup. I'd rather they kept Flash Forward and cancelled this tbh.

Saw the pilot and it was quite terrible tbh.

I agree with uae. Should rather have kept FF

I think that it is around the same level of FF, came in with high expectations with both shows and was severely disappointed on both. As someone said the characters aren't that 'well-crafted' so you don't really identify with them at all.

Maybe thats why I like V more than FF then, I had no expectations going in to V whatsoever whereas FF was being dubbed the new Lost etc..

I agree with the overhyping of FF. Dubbing a show as a Lost replacement is just idiotic, piles far too much pressure on it and the viewers who tune is based on that will inevitably end up dissapointed. But personally I expected a lot more from V, and seeing the likes of Elizabeth Mitchell, Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk in the pilot got me pretty excited. In the end I don't feel either really delivered enough to deserve a second series.

Crap production but one does get hooked after a couple of episodes.

ABC owns the patent on that, it's funny because if were on NBC no one would watch and it would have been cancelled by now.

Some of the green screen shots have been poorly done, and the pace of the show has at best been rather erratic. However, apart from those flaws, it hasn't been too bad. Having watched the original version of this way back in 1984, I had some expectations for this show. Whilst some of them are still waiting to be achieved I do think they've done something right. I've seen the first season, and it's no where near my favourite show, it's got me coming back. I think it's waiting to see how they finish the story off and to see where they take it, having been a fan of the original.

As with FF, I don't think it helped having such a huge mid season gap, but any programme starting over which then went on a huge break like both V and FF did, would have struggled to win back the audience. V picked up at the end, as did FF, and both by the end of the season wre deserving of a second season IMO. However, FF went, leaving us with hopefully a longer second season of V with a bit more care needed on some of the effects.

I was about to give up on it as I thought the pace of the first few episodes was too slow.
However the last 4 or 5 episodes were fantastic when it actually started to develop into a more action based show.
I think they dont know themeselves whether they want to create a political drama looking at topics like racism/immigration etc or an action "turn your brain off" scifi show.
Theyre at a cross roads and almost trying to find a balance and happy medium similar to battlestar galactica.
Just my view.

Interestingly someone whom I have spoken to about this series said something similar, but they were coming from the original story, where by (and I may add he's a bit older than myself and recalls some of the press about it better) the ailens were being comapred to the nazi's. I can look back and see why, but I think they've tried to steer clear of that one so far. They've shown us hardly any humans being killed or taken captive as such. I think they've tried to avoid any issues like that this time.

Just saw the finale, very good.

I really do love this show, it's definately been a surprise favourite for me. Any news on the second season?
