V For Vendeta

agreed. everyone i know was raving about it, so i downloaded it the other day, my god was it crap, i nearly fell asleep watching it

Infact, I will go as far as saying I thought it was brilliant.

Watched it yesterday, and I may watch it again today.

that settles it, i'll watch it tonight on pay per view

I liked it too...

and in honour...

I watched it with high hopes from the generally good reviews but it turned out to be one of the biggest let down in film history. Utterly ludicrous and nonsensical.

Wibble, I have yet to see a positive review from you!

Can you recommend me a couple movies to watch please?

i saw the movie back whet it came out
8.5/10
great message

I watched parts of it last night, I felt quite dissapointed because it looked silly and very mainstream. The comic book is amazing, everybody should read it at least once before they die.

I didn't mind it. Sure it was crude, in the way it delivered it's message, but for a mainstream Hollywood flick, it wasn't bad.

Think it's one of those films you really love or you think is total pants most of the time.

I thought it was alright. Not great but decent.

Look in the film review thread. There are quite a few.

Transformers is excellent if you enjoy action films without the need for intellectual stimulation (as I do).

Good films have been few and far between recently but I have enjoyed Dead Mans Shoes and The Good Shepard which are both excellent.

And assuming that you have seen Apocalypse Now, Alien, Blade Runner and The Godfather series I can only reccomend a few of my old favorite like Three Colours Blue (in fact watch White and Red as well), Goodfellahs and Truly Madly Deeply.

Cheers for that Wibble.

So you really enjoyed Transformers? Excellent, I can't wait to see it anyway.

Die Hard was good.

They took out any of the 'believability' factor when he brought down a helicopter with his car. But at the end of the day, it was an action film, it didn't have much of a plot and didn't really pretend to either.

I was there for the action and humour, and got both.

My thoughts exactly

That had nothing on the scene where he brought down the fighter with the truck. They didn't just throw believability out the window, they strapped it to a nuclear rocket and sent it out the solar system. :D

True....

It was really funny how they just clearly didn't care about plot holes etc.

What a total laod of bollocks, almost as bad as hard candy...

bag o shite

I say feck the film, it's still a great comic. I've just reread the book to remind me that after an average film.

As a fully signed up comic geek I really hope they do a decent job of Watchmen when it finally goes to production

You comic geeks are never happy with the movie equivalent, you just like bitching and discussing how superior the comic version is.

Cheers for that Wibble.

Great entertainment, brilliant effects and a bit of humour thrown in. What more could you want?

Even my wife loved it. My son has rated it as the best film of the year. Then again he is 8.
