Confirmed by the Athletic that the club knew Yoro had a potential metatarsal issue in his foot when he signed. Many claimed that the Yoro injury was an impact injury and pure luck. No, it was an aggravation of a pre-existing injury. This led to Yoro getting injured and requiring surgery, which has subsequently kept him out for 3 months. Yoro had only been involved in 50 per cent of training sessions because of the known injury. With this in mind, whoever made the decision to start Yoro in those pre-season games deserves criticism.
