I'm loving the UK Top Gear though which shows up over here on BBC America. even the wife likes it, which is saying something.

honestly Doc, sometimes I'd rather stick forks in my eyes and chopsticks in my ears than to be in the same room and see some of the TV that she likes. of course she'd say the same about Fox Soccer Report and shows like that (not FFF!!).

My missus likes Top Gear as well. She gets a kick out of Captain Slow.

Don't know when the US version will air. I think it's supposed to debut sometime in the fall.

I hear that the History Channel has finally picked this up.

What I really want to know is, will an American audience sue the program for being forced to stand up during filming?

The History Channel has indeed picked this up. It'll debut in the fall and have 9 episodes(pretty sure that's what I read). Adam Carolla is out. The 3 hosts are: Tanner Foust(a real driver), Adam Ferrera(actor/comedian), and Rutledge Wood(some guy who loves NASCAR).

I think Carolla's said on his podcast that he wants in if his NBC sitcom pilot doesn't get picked up. I would think it would be too late by then, but I suppose if there's an opening they'd find a spot for him.

Not a huge fan myself, but his podcast is pretty good. I wasn't a fan of The Man Show and wouldn't be surprised if his sitcom gets canned though. I just don't think he does too well in scripted environments (or ones where he's not allowed absolutely free reign to say whatever he wants).

Just started watching t myself, and its seems like a very polite and courteous version of ours.
