Well opening game on ppv, guess we'll be paying for most this season.

Who was it signed up with Canadian system, is that working okay? You will get all these games for free?

I've been bsing to myself about doing this for years, my dish contract is up October. Like to hear how it's working out.

PPV
8/17/2002 Manchester United v. West Brom 10:00 am ET-LIVE
8/18/2002 Arsenal v. Birmingham City 11:00 am ET-LIVE

FSW
8/17/2002 Leeds v. Manchester City 12:00 pm ET
8/18/2002 Aston Villa v. Liverpool 2:00 pm ET
8/19/2002 Newcastle v. West Ham 3:00 pm ET-LIVE

What dish is the Canadian system on? Can you get it in the USA? Anyone know what is available in the USA for free other than Fox Sports World?

Bell Express Vu can be picked up all over US, they have all the PL games we get (for free I think) and CL and FA cup too. It's not strictly legal and you cannot connect to buy ppv movies as you need a canadian phone, it's way cheaper for a big package.

The following company has lots of tecnichal info and sell the equipment too. There's also links to Express Vu for programming.

Some one on this forum signed up earlier this year and I wanted to know how they were getiing on with it. (Maybe a Canuck can give us more info - eh!)

Only issue I have is that they are a year behind on Eastenders but I am a sad bastard. However I would get Corrie.

FSW only release a few weeks a head at a time but I think there was only 3 or 4 midweek games of ours they didn't show last season.

check out fsw site regularly

Just checked out the direct tv ppv shedule for Sat 17th and the Utd game or any other game is not listed.!

What about YES tv. Did they resolve their differences with Fox yet ? They're supposed to carry 20 United games a year.

FSW is all we get down here,.. or PPV and those are few and far between as well. I just recieved cable broadban.. anyone know how much see red is?.. is you suscribe?.. if it's good?..

I usually get to see about 10 or 11 games a year on fsw.. and 2 or 3 on ppv. most of the tiem I have to get ht eplay by play on matchtracker and here. :D

On ctv sportsnet, its carried on four different channels, sometimes at different times by regions,on the Bell Express Vu satellite system, it's also on Canadian Domestic Cable. United vs West Brom is the first game live, the second game shown after is FSW one. Last year we saw about 90% of the United games in Canada. The only problem was in Europe ESPN blocked out setanta and we missed a lot of the games in Europe, and when we got them we had to listen to that twat Toomy Smyth

I have express vu in the states and it does in fact show premier league games live on saturday and sunday. I have tried soccertv to see when united will be on but no luck at this time I will keep you posted

You're the very fellow I was looking for. Keep us posted, I want to know if you get all those listed above.

What's it like general tv wise, the schedules seem to look more interesting than the endless crap they put on down here.

I will keep you posted as I find out. if you go to expressvu.com and you can get the channel lineup with discriptions. I enjoy having fsw canada and TSN mostly as they show many united games both in europe and the premier league. TSN was quite nice during the world cup as i saw all the england games live unlike ESPN here in the states. I pay about 30 dollars a month as I pay slightly more for the right to view Canadian DSS without having a canadian address. Basically you pay a service to act as your address and they will update your preferences as you add or delete certain channels.

I'M CANADIAN! Where I live in canada, it's all free, although I can't see ALL the games. Rogers sportsnet plays games on saturday and Fox Sportsworld Canada plays them throughout the week. ALL FREE! TSN plays the Champions League games. Good luck getting them free.

BTW: FSW are introducing a highlights show of the Premiership, much like the Soccer Show on BBC America, except it's on at a better time, Tuesdays at 8pm EST. That's what I'm lead to believe anyway. :)

use this link for canadian broadcasts. United is on Vs WBA on sportsnet this saturday. ;)

Go to the Fox Sports Worls site for upcoming PPV games for the week only.Sometimes it gives you two weeks in advance .

I looked at the Dish Network site and they appear to be only offering monthly or season subscriptions. There is no mention of PPV for individual games which they offered last year

Anybody know if this is the case.

Raoul I have the system for over 6 months now. No problems hooking it up and receiving the signal. I watched the whole world cup on it and those of you who will be paying 269 for the football package on Directv its all free via the express vu satellite system in canada. Having said that i do pay about 30 dollars a month so thats 360 a year but there is other advantages to this system then just the football.

Can any one confirm this. I believe that the dish for Dish Network points at same satellites as Express Vu so you only have to buy new receivers and hook them up to existing dish cables?

fecking hope so I damn near shit myself climbing on the roof installing the dish.

I would assume it is possible. They are so close in fact when lining up the EXpress Vu satellite system they specifically warn you about aquiring the Dish network satellite. Apparently if you accept that information it fries the card in the express vu receiver. Not sure on the 18 inch (pizza shaped) dish but certainly on the 18x24 dish (oval shaped) it should work
