Can't believe those greedy bastards Fox are delaying our game 24 hours and putting it on PPV yet Scouse scum get Satuarday and the free Saturday game is fecking Charlton/Sunderland. I can't believe the logic...wankers!

EPL on Pay-Per-View
4/27/2002 Tottenham v Liverpool 10am ET (Delayed playout to PPV and CCTV)

4/28/2002 Ipswich v Manchester United 11am ET - Match from Saturday

There's a reason why most of our games are on PPV in the states. Because we're top draw, and at $14.95 a pop, DirecTV and Fox make a killing off our games.

I realise that but I feel like I'm being taking advantage of. They think they can just delay our game 24 hours and still charge $15 because we are the only set of supporters who would still pay for it. Bastards!

Where's TTR and all those others who were screaming and shouting the other week about tv games. This is really pissing me off, you may have noticed, now pull your damn fingers out and send 'em an email

feedback@foxsports.com

Here's what I sent..

I am totally disgusted at how you are taking advantage of us Manchester United supporters. We have had more PPV games than any one else and I am willing to bet these games also get way more viewers than any others.

This being such a crucial weekend in the season you figure that you can delay our game 24 hours and still make us pay for it because we love team so much. Lets face it if it was the other way around and the Liverpool game was on the next day nobody would pay for it.

You may call this marketing, I call it insulting your LOYAL viewers. We probably provide at least 50% of revenue you've had from PPV games this season and this is how you pay us back.

One other thing you should consider, you treat us like this and delay our games then maybe we will be more supportive of the Yankees Entertainment network playing our games!!

It's merely supply and demand in action. Fox Sports World wouldn't survive to show their normal free games if it weren't for the revenue they generated off of the lucrative PPV telecasts. United are the centerpiece of that, and its one of the reasons Fox is planning on suing the YES TV deal. My guess is that FSW would fold if YES TV is allowed to show 20 United games a year.

I'm here matey!

I regularly email FSW & ESPN re: games but generally it's all to no avail.

I've sent one this afternoon bitching about this weekend too.

I think FSW are on thin ice atm too because of advertising revenues. They kicked that Premier league 2 hour show after last season because they couldn't sell the commercial time for it.

Anyway, I'm thinking about dish network or directv next season. I'm tired of this FSW drama. I'm lucky, in a sense, that I have 3 bars very close that show most of United's games so I ain't that worried, I just don't have the time to venture out too much atm.

DishNetwork is best. If you get a 2nd dish, you can pick up the International channels. You'll get every United game, including CL, FA Cup etc.

There are some Greek, Arabic, and Polish channels on the International pack that routinely broadcast CL and Prem matches. The Arabic channels also show Div 1 football. You can't legally get ESPN Intl in the states because of licensing issues etc.

Do you lot think this is in response to YES broadcasting the CHelsea game two days delayed? It is abhorent that we cant get the game. Raoul can you tell me which satellite is going to be showing the game do you know yet.

THanks

Manufanatic

ra , you listed an option at one time - about $400 to hook up all sorces for MU matchs. hate to ask but..................

direct tv is the same shite as cable if you already get fsw. they use MU games to keep it in business. i don't mind but shoe the kin match the same day or live.

i paid to watch the chelsea match , but that was the same day. a one day dely is f'd

The advantage of having a Dish over Digital Cable is the access to FSW saturday PPV matches, which are generally not shown on Digital Cable systems who routinely opt for InDemand Spanish football and FA Cup action instead. Like I said earlier, if you have a Dish Network two dish setup, you can pick up just about every United game there is.

ra , do you have that channel breakdown? those international channels are offered by dishnetwork avil with a regular dish or one of those giant f'rs

i'd like to see whats offered b/c i live in cow hampshire and coverage is pretty much the same.

Just go to the dishnetwork.com site and check out the channel listings. These are directv size dishes. You need two because you're going to point one toward one satellite and the 2nd toward their international satellite.

did it already , f me too much info. i doubt it'd change the matchs we can't see live here. like chelsea and tractor boyz match.

i would urge all MU fans to buy the season tickets to sat and sun epl pkgs. the savings are quite substancial. you can buy better beer w/ savings. :D
