Right I'm on the checkout page on play.com

after adding my ps3 and gta 4, and I remember about a HDMI cable

Is there one in the box or do I need to purchase one separately?

help needed asap thank you

Too late ps3 ordered, still no HDMI cable, already have a 360

weaste any suggestions and links for a cable?

360 controller is way better any gamer will tell you that.
ps3 online = shit on a stick
how many people actually watch blu ray movies?

I've had both since launch. 360 still wins most every battle.

1) used both playstation has the best design for a controller to by far

2) bollocks have fun playing halo against a bunch of frat retards

Just a quick point on HDMI cables to save you all some money.

Do't bother with the ones that have 'gold' contacts and all that rubbish.

HDMI cables pass digital information, not analogue. Gold contacts and other expensive enhancements will make absolutely no bloody difference, so don't spend more than a tenner on a cable.

Funny you mention that, when I was in Currys the salesguy was trying to sell me one for £60!! Saying the gold-plated cable help to keep the picture better and that there is a noticeable difference.

I kindly said no.

Also about the fanboys bit here...
1) Depends on your preference, long time PS players will highly likely prefer the ps pad, xboxers prefer xbox pad... simple as that.

2) PS3 online, yeah, it's not that great atm, but they're still developing that home thing, which should improve things. I've personally had no problems with the online bit of ps3, maye a bit peeved you can't invite friends etc. But isn't that to do with the games companies and not Sony? :p

3) Blu-Ray is the next DVD dude... how many peoples now watch DVD's? Point proven.
 
I think i'll head into game tomorrow and buy the one esmufc07 showed needs to be at least 2 metres though

1) not really, ps3 controllers feel really light and cheap. Horrible feel to them. What is bad about the Xbox controllers.

2)PS3 online will never be as good, and if it ever is they will start to charge for it.

3) i watch dvd's all the time. Blu-ray is unnecessary in the video market in my opinion. Dvd's have high enough definition. How ever there is a place for Blu-ray, in the games market.

1) In your opinion.. Obviously you haven't clicked the DS3 is coming out over here soon, heavier and has rumble in again, not light or cheap. I find the xbox controls too large and dislike the rounded button things, dig into fingers after a while (A B X Y). But it's just my personal choice as I have used the ps3 control for years... I see the argument for the stick position though... although I can also get away with the ps ones anyway as the control is small enough to get my finger to the sticks with ease.

2) Probably not, MS seems to have done it really well.. but then again MS has been dealing with this stuff for years so has an advantage. I am happy with the free service PS are providing, and as it's not that great atm... I only imagine it getting better. There is a huge difference in quality... play a game through a normal cable, then a HDMI cable... see the difference in the game? That's sorta like the difference between DVD and Blu-Ray. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it... Blu-Ray is the next DVD... Stop kidding yourself now.

1) i don't understand what you mean by round buttons... the ones on playstation controllers are round as-well:confused:. The stick position is far better on the xbox. I was aware of the DS3 release but when? With sony it always seems to be, yeah well its going to be better, or well you will need that in the future.

2) i think we kinda agree-ish.

3)I do agree that Blu-Ray is the next DVD, but is it necessary. We live in a society where what ever the latest is, is considered the best. Not always the case. And as the country sinks into recession do you really think people will be splashing money out on items such as Blu-Ray, where the current format is fit for purpose and is cheaper.

1) Like.. hard to explain, they seem like little eminems sticking out of the control? You dont press a flat surface of the button... it feels slightly circular? Can't remember... sec... going to go find a control now... heh this one aint an official one... so I dont know if I remember rightly... I think it's during the summer sometime, can't remember when I read, can get them importanted now for the same price as a six axis. Just felt the sticks, and xbox does feel a bit more comfortable, also like the way they dip in on the xbox so you dont lose grip.

3) Seems alot of people have bought ps3's just for blu-ray already, the point about the recession... so why would anyone buy a games console? For lets face it... probably 1/2 people in a house use it properly... but Blu-Ray, the whole family can enjoy :p

its not a comparison, I don't give a feck about which is better for whatever reason, if you want to compare them, take it another thread, I don't want to sift through all this non HDMI Cable shite. All I want is a link for a decent HDMI cable, is it so hard to ask?

Well at that cheap, they're probably dead cables/not real.

Any HDMI cable from a reputable seller is a HDMI cable...

Just pick up a £10 one... reasonably priced and seem to last quite a while too..

Salesmen will BS you and try making you buy a MONSTER cable, which is nowt special.

3) well if everyone has it, then no one will be impressed by it. The general meaning of recession is that spending is cut, otherwise there would be no point in banks increasing interest rates.
