For a start ;)

Well, at least we are moving in for the starlets for once but is this guy as good as he's made out to be?

I always pity those reserve/youth keeper or ours ... none of them apparently able to make the grade ? ... I read there's one quite impressive young GK but if we sign this Steele kid big time with some &gt;1mil fee ... I think all others in the youth team could forget abt staying .. ?!

Anyway - not many big teams really build their own GK IMO ... the competition is always so stiff and the worse thing is - there's always only 1 GK in the first 11 !! ... Even Paul Robinson need to endure those frustration ... that's probably the sad thing abt being a GK . <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

With Raimond leaving, Steele could find himself 3rd or 4th choice keeper sooner than you'd think.

Yeah but people used to rate Nicky Weaver as the best at his age a few years back and now even the city fans don't rate him

I think its too soon to start assessing his quality. He's obviously and good prospect, and impressed on his trial. We'll see if he makes the grade or not, he's got plenty of time anyway. :)

I read that he's in England U17 or U19 squad ? ... well if that's true then at least he has a good start there gaining plenty of experience ... England age-group has really matured quite a lot lately and for many years now - this is the first year I started to get good feedback on them playing well in tournaments ... The U17 getting the 3rd spot in Europe lately that's 1 ...
