The signing was that Nagula we have been hearing about from Anderlecht.

United land Flo
Manchester United have made their first summer signing - and it's cost them just £100,000. The champions are paying that fee in compensation to Belgian club Anderlecht for 16-year-old Floribert Nguala. Ivory Coast-born centre-half Nguala, who has a Belgian passport, has made a big impression on United's scouts and boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sanctioned the signing. He has already been to United's Carrington training complex to sign an agreement.

The on trial duo are Nigerians, one Isaac Promise and Michael John Obbi, see following story.

Shows Promise
Manchester United have lined up a double swoop for Nigerian strike starlets Isaac Promise and Michel John Obbi. Boss Sir Alex Ferguson has invited the two Under-17 internationals to Old Trafford for a trial next month. The duo caught the eye of United scouts in their country's recent qualifiers for the African Junior Championships.
