I was at Barnes and Noble and i noticed that they have United The Official Mag. It's good reading. What do you think of the mag?

can have some ok features. In the May issue they had an article by a United fan who visited the Boro game at OT in March in the Away End, and wrote about his findings, very interesting. Mclair is coming back to the mag as well I think, which will be brilliant. ;)

It's nice to see i'm getting the shaft from Barnes and Noble just because its imported. It was $5.95.

It's abt US$4.7 here ... I have had all the copies since 1996 ... The good things abt this mag is - unlike the newspaper, most of the articles are geniunely "exclusive" ... The newspaper one mostly are plucked from internet - I always found it so funny to read exactly the same thing again when I reach home while in fact I have already read them in the morning from net ...

I used to get it a lot, but haven't done for a while. I guess it's down to the internet really. By the time the magazine is released, everything is a month out of date. The reports/news and some of the feaures can be found online.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good magazine, and some of the articles are great, but, why bother when I can read the majority online.

I bought it mainly because i rarely see anything having to do with European football or soccer in general.

Yeah. They've had em for about a couple of years now at the local Atlanta B&N's.
If you came to the pub with me and pigface more often, you'd know this :D

British people: I haven't seen MotD magazine around lately...is it gone???

FourFourTwo is better anyway...

I first bought it about 1993/94. It is three months old by the time it gets here. I could have got quicker by subscription but never got round to it. I still buy it but wonder why. I used to read it cover to cover within twenty four hours. Now I sometimes carry it round with me for a week or so before adding it to the collection. I always read about the reserves and youth teams but often little else. Higher profile of United in Oz and the internet makes so much difference.

agreed. bought the May issue, with the an Henry / Petit interview on how they'll take the world by storm again. ;)

You are not going to believe this, but in Japan the United magazine is about 1,700 yen after they add import tax at the bookstore.

In Oz money that is about $22 or maybe even more.
Unbelievable and bloody disgraceful, even given Japan is the most expensive country in the world and bleeds its citizens and residents dry.      <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Barnes & Noble is a hell of a great store. When i was on hols i was able to pick up a book called "around Ireland with a fridge" over there, yet i couldnt get it in any local store over here. weird.
