Okay, we've seen our team play a few games this season.

The general concensus is that we are playing quite well, yet there are concerns over our injuries and lack of striking options.

Bottom line time.

How will we do this year in all competitions.

My Predictions:-

Prem - 3rd

Cl - QF (Just)

FAC - 4th Round

WC - 1st round we play in.

An average season then. Over to you guys & girls.

I think that we'll win the EPL, get to the semis of the CL where an inferior team will knock us out again, and get knocked out early in both domestic cups.

I like your prediction better than mine I must say.

I was convinced we'd walk the league last year and so maybe I'm just being ultra cautious this time.

I'm forever the eternal optimist, with a little bit of realism thrown in for good measure. ;)

But from your prediction it seems that you don't really agree we are playing "quite well". ;)

Much! Better....hope he has time to reflect on how to bring the team together than having been rumored as being what's wrong with the spirit of the team.

Premiership : 1st
CL : Win
FA Cup : Win

and the others too... the treble is in the air...

If we play like we did last night we'll win feck all. However, if we put in performances like we did against Chelsea (2nd half) and ZTE on a regular basis then we have every chance of winning something. The defence is looking more solid and Rio and Blanc are class. We need to grind out results when not playing well, something we did last night imo.

Our away form will be key, along with not losing 6 at home. You'll see United play better football away from OT imo as teams will not be so keen to put 11 men behind the ball and look to sneak a goal (ala Liverpool).

Will all these people who are "predicting" the season's achievements just shut the feck up and see what develops!

We haven't played consistently well yet this season, but the 2nd half vs, Chelsea, the 1st half vs. Sunderland, and parts of last night's match were very good.

Also, the fecking papers have been going on this morning about the United vs. England "conflict" and how uninspired United were. These the same journos who criticise United when they go gung-ho and lose 4-3! fecking idiots haven't got a clue. If the team is winning and hold on to a slender lead, then so fecking what? It's still 3 points and the passing was still good. For pity's sake, it's not like United were playing defensively and nicked a goal against the run of play!

So, as the Scousers would say, "calm down"!

Its too early to make predictions IMO. As Fergie pointed out last night, it's very close at the moment. Games are comparitively low-scoring, and points are being dropped everywhere.

i agree! the persuit of the EPL and FAC may get waylaid in what is a genuine chance at European glory in front of a home crowd, but i wouldn't like to see us finish anywhere below 2nd (preferably with Birmingham City finishing top!)

actually...feck it...i smell a Treble looming!!!

Early days, but based upon what I've seen so far ...

EPL : 2nd (The Arse again,I think)
CL : Qtr Final (Would you bet against Real ?)
Fa Cup : Qtr Final (I'm convinced it's Sir Bobby's this year and I, for one, wouldn't begrudge it him )
WC : Who gives a fxxx

exactly what I had in mind.. :D

Realisticaly:

EPL: A good shot at first place with strong competition from Arsenal. But, I think we'll improve over last season. My biggest concern is only having 2 strikers who know how to score. )Liverpool only has one though :p )

CL: Will reach the SF along with Real Madrid Bayern Munich + one other side (maybe Arsenal). Hopefully Bayern will play and dispose of Real. Thus giving United a hope of winning the CL because I can't see United beating Real.

The FA Cup: this is a crap shoot, so who knows. United are certainly capable of winning it.

Anyone can beat Real Madrid if they play them in the right way. Look at them in their domestic league last season, of the last 10 away games they drew 1 and lost 9. Adding Ronaldo to their squad is not going to do much to strenghten their shite defence and a midfield uncommited when they need to track back. So, of course United can beat them.

If we keep ourselves in the hunt until the New year & add a couple of good new signings after that we will go all the way IMO....not that bothered about FAC... :D
