Is the website run independently from the club?

I ask this because I just read this and thought that the comments are similar to everything the tabloids/soccernet type sites put up!

I'd have thought the official site wouldn't bother with rumour (unless it's in the "my mate says" section) and be fully clued in on what's going on!
Manchester United are yet to make a comment on any deal to bring the defender to Old Trafford.

Why would they refer to United as a seperate entity...

Dunno mate but I do know that they made a big deal about relaunching it earlier this summer. I suspect that it is an independent company because they don't have any great insight into what is going on.

BTW, have you noticed that programmes have gone up to £3? A joke.

Now though, it looks like Sky or the beeb have the first word and the official site is as in the dark as we are!

The official site hasn't a clue at whats going on, thats obvious. The only time they know something first is when the club releases information through it (Blanc extendeding his contract or certain denials...).

Its the same on mutv

you think they are meant to just go blabbing about a half done deal on there site so every newspaper and telly channel reads it

they will report it once its done.
