Myles, Amass, Munro, Jackson, McAllister - Devaney, Curley, Fitzgerald - Missin, Musa, Lacey

0-0 after 20 minutes. Derby started brightly and both could and should have scored early on after a bad mistake from McAllister (who was really poor in the first 10 minutes). United gradually took over and should have scored on several occations - but Musa and Curley wasted 2 good chances each. Once again Missin and Lacey have looked our brightest players so far.

Derby score after a good ball and some excellent composure from their striker.

Derby lead. Amateurish defending from us there.

1-0 Derby - really poor from Devaney - and the ball is played between Munro and McAllister - who both are slow to react. The ball is taken around the keeper and goal

Derby scores again - but offside. Lucky for Myles

Curley and McAllister have both been excellent so far this season - today they have both been awful

Derby score again but ruled out for offside. Huge letoff for Myles.

Missin’s confidence is growing weekly at the minute.

Missin, Lacey and Amass are the only players who have done well in this half

Fitzgerald is having a poor game by his standards.

MY GOD - what is McAllister doing ? He is passing the ball to Derby-players time and time again. Myles with a brilliant save to deny 2-0. McAllisters 45 minutes is among the worst I have seen from any United-player at this level.

Derby should have had their second. Poor defending during that whole phase of play after giving the ball away.

That was a horrendous half from us.

Don't think Amass has been very good either. Taking too long on the ball, caught on it a number of times.

Feel sorry for Lacey, Amass and Missin. They must not have been invited to last night's piss up on the town.
Was just thinking to myself one of the lads must have turned 18 this week and he’s had some kind of party

And why is he jogging for the first goal? SO weird.

I think Munro is a bit sketchy with his decision-making, a bit odd for a CB to run into traffic all the time like he is Rashford. I also think Musa is a frustrating player. Good half from Missin though. Also: Myles is a pretty good keeper, goes under the radar.

Who's the other guy on MUTV? There's something so weird about how he closes his eyes.

Been better this half, thought we should’ve had a penalty to be honest.

Also Lacey is the master of creating dangerous situations with diagonal balls.

Penalty - all the work done by Wheatley - runs through and is brought down by Gill who was the player who also brought down Missin - when we didnt get a penalty

Poor penalty but it goes under the keeper - Wheatley scores

I’d argue that the foul there started outside the box, think we got a bit fortunate there. Even so, 1-1, been a very difficult game this.

Gill almost scores with an overhead kick - really good attempt

Fletcher has added a lot - much better than Curley and Devaney

Ogunneye looks like an absolute tank these days, like a mini Antonio Valencia.

2-1 McAllister - we press them really well. Wheatley and Sharpe press their defenders - Amass gets the ball and squares it to McAllister who drives it home from 20 yards. (80th minute)

Myles saves us with a great point blank save - United go straight up and Sharpe scores 3-1 - superb ball from Lacey

City drew 0-0 against Everton, so really important that we've managed to capitalize because they won't drop points often.

Lawrence deserves a lot of the credit - his subs made the difference. McAllister into midfield with Fletcher worked really well - while Wheatley has looked a lot sharper than Musa was. Jack Fletcher really looks class

United score again but the flag is up for offside. Sharpe with the goal that was disallowed

Subs changed the game

Paul Woolston, former U21 keeper and now retired due to an injury. I guess it's just tics.

Good second half from United. Yeah, Wheatley is a lot better than Musa. Good subs and my praise for Myles was rewarded!

Thanks. Makes sense after I googled about it.

Our subs made the difference here. I like Wheatley and would say he had the biggest impact as the sub today. His pressing from the front was very good. Was a bit surprised to see Missin got substituted? Sharpe did get the goal but I see Missin as the better player.

Watching our U-18s this season is such a respite from the car crash of our first team.

I guess he made it just to freshen things up, and it worked. I agree that Missin was pretty good (again) though.
