AIK sports director Jens Anderson has been contacted by Martin Ferguson and
will make the trip to Stockholm on Sunday. It is believed that both of Teteh Bangura (left)
and Mohamed Bangura (right) are on United's radar, while young defender
Alexander Milosevic also is under popular demand from clubs like Ajax, Liverpool and PSV.

"We never comment on individual clubs that are here, that is up to them. But interest
was very high on Sunday and it will be the same during this Sunday's league game
against Elfsborg"
- Jens Andersson (Expressen 28/07/11)

Teteh is a striker, Mohamed a winger and Alexander a centre half.

Our record of signing African players is not exactly impressive.

Are these lads well known?

But does that actually mean anything? I'm not sure our past African players have any bearing on potential signings.

Teteh Bangura has played for 6 clubs in the last 3 years...

It's common in Sweden to switch clubs before you land somwhere you fit. Since they are so poor at identifying ability and potential players like Zlatan have been rejected for peanuts by lower table clubs in Sweden.

Teteh Bangura - good in the air, quick and strong.

plying their trade for a swedish club? no thanks. they're bound to come flat packed and when you finally get round to assembling them during a striker crisis you'll find they're missing a limb.

They were both linked with Liverpool and Arsenal only last week, I am not going to read all too much into this.

Well said!

I remember someone posting in another thread that we shouldn't buy Argentinian players for the same reason & being lambasted for suggesting that it might be racist to suggest such a thing.

Forget about where a player comes from & concentrate on their level of skill and suitability for out squad.

I've always hated that 'Not another Argie' bollocks. Yes, because Veron and Heinze were the same player right, and all Argentinians are based around two models, who are nothing alike.
