Will Neville play?

Reserves Make Trip To United
By Mark Heys January 31 2008
Bolton Wanderers reserves have a chance to dish out some revenge on their Manchester United counterparts tonight when the two sides meet in the Manchester Senior Cup tie at Northwich's Victoria Stadium.

United scored two late goals in the league meeting between these two sides eight days ago and they have also held Bolton to a 1-1 draw earlier in the season.

Bolton reserve coach Jimmy Phillips has seen his side without a win in the FA Premier Reserve League but the side do generally tend to perform well in the cup competitions.

Winger Leslie Thompson could be included in the Wanderers side after completing a loan spell with Blue Square Premier League side Torquay United recently.

Again no sign of Gaz, not even a mention this time. I think we should write him off for the rest of the season. :(

Good to see him back. He's been sorely missed by the Academy team. Bummer it's too late to keep them in the Youth Cup.

Cathcart's too old for the Youth Cup (and for the u18's in general unless he's fielded as an over-age player).

wouldn't be surprised to see him go back out on loan to the Championship/League One, doesn't seem like the Antwerp loan really worked out for him and it'd be a shame if his development stalled a bit.

Oh, that explains it. Strange we couldn't sort out a loan deal this month. Must haev decided he could do with a few months back at the club, with a view to sending him out on loan in the summer. He's a decent player.

guess there's no massive rush - he was never going to get a Prem loan deal yet, and loan deals to Football League clubs can go through outside the window (think there's a deadline in March?) so we can bide our time and wait to see if someone suitable comes in rather than packing him off to anyone will take him.
