Manchester United are preparing a last minute bid for Fulham's Steve Finnan to try and snatch him from under the nose of Gerard Houllier claim reports today.

Although United are linked with numerous players every day of the week, as are Liverpool, we are of the opinion that these reports are genuine.

However, Gerard Houllier's deal to bring Finnan to Anfield is almost complete but will almost complete be good enough?

We are not actually after him, just hiking the price up so you have less money out of your small kitty to spend elsewhere. Fair tactic IMO. :D
 
I don't think Sir Alex wants Finnan, what are we going to do with him when Brown & G Neville recover?

Just to hike up the price so that the Scousers have to pay over the odds, methinks... ;)
 
Finnan is not Manchester United quality, 27 yrs old and only 2 yrs premiership experience plus we have 4 players capable playing RB (nevilles, Brown, O'Shea) If he is going to be part of the Liverpool revolution then I hope you sign him. A mediocre player for a mediocre club
