Strange it is. But it seems like our team is an unfinished engine. Unpolished. And that is not what many thought was the case due to our great run in the 90's. Many of us have thought that we would brick upon brick 'till we were practically unbeatable. But that is not the case.

We have a team now, that is much more of a challenger and an under-dog than a defending champion of any sorts. And this is not just awkward to discover for us, the fans, but also for the players. They go to bed at night as kings, and wake up the the next morning as servants. And especially Arsenal and Liverpool has been doing their homework while we slept.

It was ages since we celebrated any kind of victory over poor teams. But we do that now. Cause we need every victory we can grasp, not just for the points alone. But for the build-up of our self-esteem. We have let ourselves down so much the last two years that we have lost much of the touch.

It is a difficult situation to be in. If it was a formal crisis it would be easier in a way. Then you have the back to the wall. Now we have a lurking crisis. Is everything ok, or is everything a disaster? What shall we do? Where does the poor displays derive from? Is it the enviroment? Is it the coach, the manager, some players that doesn't fit in, lack of motivtion and the right attitude? Where is the boat leaking? While we slept we caught a cold. And we cannot figure out what caused it. Uncertainty and the feeling of doubt.

Let's hope the last matches indeed have mended much of the low self-esteem some players seemed to have. We need to back-track. To find where we was doing things right. And start again from there.

The season is a long one. I hope that is a benefit.
