I'm aware that cliques are already being formed, some who already made their mind up about the manager but truth be told none of these players deserve the benefit of the doubt, they have been disparaging the club for long enough.

The best thing we could collectively do as a fan base is to simply support the manager till the end of his contract and so should our board no matter who he turns out to be , whether he is ten hag or poch.

I'd rather we call for unconditional support for the correct manager. We have been hurt so far because of unwavering and long support for the manager because of our fixation to find the next SAF.

No, the manager should earn his support by showing tangible results on the pitch, that’s the way it should be.

He’ll get some leeway given the mess we are in, and the fan base should expect teething problems and be patient enough to let him get his own team in place, but it shouldn’t take multiple seasons before we get to see a team playing cohesive, disciplined football on the pitch. As Rangnick said, a club the size of Utd shouldn’t expect years long rebuild, 2-3 transfer windows should see us back competing if done right.

I’m for ten Hag and I have high hopes for him, but neither his past credentials nor our current malaise guarantee blind support. Everything has to be judged on its own merit.

No such thing as unconditional support in a results business.
That said the priority of the new manager has to be to rebuild the trust and connection between fans and the players.
They can achieve that by getting rid of or benching the players the fans dislike strongly like Maguire and Rashford and playing kids who the fans will automatically get behind like Hannibal and Gardner.

These players are con artists the moment the results suffer you can be sure as hell that they downed tools again.we mustn't fall for their bullshit they way we've did before.

We are only 4 managers into this conundrum before we realized a complete tear down of the squad is necessary again. Hope we get it right this time, as unfortunately, the Glazers or any other owner for that matter would rather take the cheaper option of changing managers than wholesale change of playing squads.

We are in this mess from supporting shit managers for too long.

I think ten Hag is a good choice and I'm behind him - but if he isn't up for the task i.e clearing out this bunch of overpaid dramaqueens and getting the right ones in then he shouldnt be here either.

Unless they're lucky/smart enough to get a manager in like Klopp or Pep then the other big clubs kick out their manager until they find a good fit, and we should do the same.
We were spoiled with Sir Alex and therefore have this idea that a manager is some kind of life long appointment, but the fact is that they are a signing like many others.

I'm looking very much forward to next season, it can't get any worse at least....

Exactly we have already been fooled by 4 managers into thinking we are going places.
No matter who comes we should be ruthless just like Bayern, Chelsea, Real Madrid or Barcelona. If results or at least clear signs aren't there, then on to the next.
Pep and Klopp are the only managers that guarantee trophies and success and we ain't getting any of them.

I believe in Erik ten Hag and for me his got the right profile. I will stand behind him knowing that he got lots of work to do.

The most important thing is progressing change. Players need to go. He will have to be ruthless with some of them.

I think we are up for something special and we might see that plan of his already this summer. I love to see angry players feeling let down when told they must find new clubs.

If you are talking about RR and his make-shift team, yes, because they have done their best.

If you are talking about Ole and his team, who has 2.5 seasons, including 2 summer break, to prepare for a team that can't run 10KM, have no discipline in formation and tactics, lose in every 50-50 challenges, then no.

I'd honestly still go for Conte in the summer. He's the perfect manager to clear the rotten eggs out of this club if backed. Our real problem is the owners, not because they don't spend a lot on transfers. The problem is they don't back their manager over high profile players bringing them in big advertisement money. No manager will succeed here until this trend ends.
All this talk of Pochettino and ten Hag. Pochettino is a serial bottler and ten Hag is still totally unproven. Yes he's done well with Ajax but it's the Eredivise for christs sake. He's caught the eye in the CL also but bigger teams probably underestimated them a tad and complacency came into play.
Conte is one of the 3 best managers in world football and the only man for this job however he would need to be backed fully by the board just like Guardiola was at City. If so, the man will guarantee us success.
My God I'd love to see him on the sidelines giving this current squad the bollocking it so badly deserves.

What this season has shown us, none I mean none of the current players deserve any support from the fans. Why should they? I have seen championship sides give more fight for their fans against bigger clubs.

These players cannot show it for even 5 mins in big games. How often have we conceded in the opening 10 mins against City and Liverpool this season?

Therefore; next season, I am backing the manager, whatever he decides is best for the club.

If he really rips everything up. If we go on a massive fire-sale, play a number of youngsters, clearly attempt to drill down a new style etc. then I'll be happy to keep him once he keeps us in the league next season.

That's if we really do rip everything up.

I am waiting to see if Ten Hag gets the support that is needed to build a top team here again.
We need about 5/6 players in this summer transfer window to start with. Then carry on in each window until we have reached the top, and stay there.

None?!

We'd be mid table fodder without De Gea!

I mean none.

Oh we are mid table fodder anyway.

People are acting as if another Keeper would not make saves. Forget about all the times he kicks the ball out of play or can't organise his back 4.

The worst thing is if we were proactive we
could have sold a lot of these players before their contracts ran down or their stock plummeted and reinvested the money. The expense goes up for every season you ignore glaring issues. Here we are now currently facing an impossible rebuild and writing another season off next year
