The Champions League quarter-final draw takes place today at 11:00 AM GMT.

TEAMS
Barcelona
Bayern Munich
Juventus
Liverpool
Manchester City
Real Madrid
Roma
Sevilla

The matches will be played on 3rd-4th April and 10th-11th April.

I guess all the big teams would be hoping for Sevilla or Roma.

I can’t care about this now that we are out.

Still can't believe we fecked this up. Could have had some cracking ties.

A tie involving us would not be cracking.
Well it's been too long since we have not played the top teams across Europe. Even if the games could end up being boring, I would look forward to how we would play, how we would set up tactically and if we would get found out. Maybe intriguing is the right word.

Judging from our performance against Sevilla, we would definitely get found out.

Would like Barca tie. Not saying we'll go through but the whole point of getting into Champions league is to test yourself against European giants. So what's the point in playing Roma or Sevilla (no disrespect to them, they are quite handful on their day)?
So my preference would be Barca, Real, Juventus, Bayern, Roma, Sevilla, City.

But our performances against Liverpool and Chelsea were much better. Maybe Jose would not have screwed up with the lineups. Anyways, moot point with us out. But even when we drew Bayern under Moyes, I was looking forward to it despite knowing we were going to get spanked. :D

Hopefully we will draw Juventus. It's been 15 years since we played them. yeah feck that

I'm surprised this post is 45 minutes old & no-one has mentioned the big teams wanting Liverpool :D

But yeah, Roma, please!

I can't even bring myself to watch this. Do we need this thread? On a serious note it's very clear there will be some big ties and Sevilla with all due respect are the weakest team left in there. Anyone who draws them will go through to the Semis. Roma is the next weakest team and unless they draw Sevilla will probably go out too. Maybe they have a slight chance against Liverpool but that's it.

Couldn't care less about this :(

All I'm hoping is that City and Liverpool are humiliated in the next round. Or drawn together.

Hope that Roma won't draw Sevilla because it would make the semis easy for one of the big clubs.

this thread is depressing....we didn't even get a big game against one of the giants

Super Cup game against Real Madrid was sort of close to an indicator of how we'd set up. Although it wasn't quite on the same stage as a Champions League game - and at a neutral venue - both teams took it seriously with their selection.

I think Liverpool would be the worst draw for me. All the hyperbole of 'European nights at Anfield', none of the glamour of a trip to Europe and a distinct possibility of getting knocked out. Roma would be first choice, Sevilla second and the rest pretty much all equal. Would love to see Madrid and Barcelona drawn together.

The only team that could beat Milan in 2007 IMO was Roma who beat them in the away league match.
I believe Roma still has a decent chance of beating Juventus.

You'd be a handful for most of the big teams tbf. Any side that has a go at you will leave space for Salah, Mane and Firmino.

Just want Liverpool out, they have lived off 2005 ever since and I don't fancy another 15 years of that.. City I wouldn't even begrudge as I think they are the best team in Europe with Barca.

And I thought we were not that bad in that game. :nervous:

I think that there are 4 big teams that all will want to avoid, Bayern, Barca, City and Real.
Then there is Juve, floating in the middle and with Liverpool, Seville and Roma making up the rest.
I’m hoping for a Roma tie with the winners to play the winners of Juve and Seville in Semi.
Let Bayern play Barca and City handle Real !!

Manchester City 3/1
Barcelona 10/3
Bayern Munich 4/1
Real Madrid 4/1
Juventus 7/1
Liverpool 9/1
Sevilla 40/1
Roma 66/1

Would have been interested to see what our odds would have been if we had scraped through - same as Liverpool's?

Just Liverpool and City to get either each other, or Real/Barca/Bayern.

Hard to care much about this. I'd like Bayern to go all the way for Jupp.

I want to avoid City. We've played them twice already, and if we should get a tough draw, I'd much prefer if we get one of Real, Barca or Bayern. One of them would be great, even though they would be heavy favourites. I'd love two games against any of them.

On the other hand.. If we get one of Seville or Rome, we have a better chance of the semi's, so..

I really don't care who we draw, except City. Bring it on!

City to get Sevilla and watch them spank Sevilla whilst Adding insult to injury . Any ways no point crying about it, if we can't even beat Sevilla then we don't deserve to progress.

Assuming we don't win it, a Bayern win is what I'd be rooting for too.

Sad we are not in the quarters. I was gonna get a ticket to the the match and watch us get killed by a great team. Ffs

Bet Sevilla gets Roma and then in the following round possibly Liverpool....our pain from this defeat isn't over yet by a long shot :(
