Does anyone know who we will meet in the Champions League third qualifying round. The draw has been made today for rounds one and two so we should be able to see what kind of team we will be playing. I am sure we will avoid the big guns as we a seeded.

2002/03 Champions League first and second qualifying rounds in full:

First round matches
First leg to be played 17 July, second leg to be played 24 July.

Tampete United v FC Pyunik
Skonto Riga (Latvia) v Barry Town
Portadown FC v Belshina Bobruisk (Belarus)
Dudelange v Vardar
Kaunas v Dynamo Tirana
FC Flora v Nicosia FC
Zeljeznicar Sarajevo v Akranes
Hibernians FC (Malta) v Shelbourne FC
Torpedo Kutaisi v Torshavn
Sheriff Tiraspol v Zhenis Astana

Second round matches
First leg to be played 31 July, second leg to be played 2 August.

Zalaegerszegi v FC Zagreb
FC Brugge v Dynamo Bucharest
Zilina v FC Basel
Skonto Riga/Barry Town v Levski Sofia (Bulgaria)
Dynamo Kiev v Tampere United/Pyunik
Brondby v Kaunas/Dynamo Tirana
Maribor v Flora/Nicosia
Dudelange/Vardar v Legia Warsaw
Boavista (Portugal) v Hibernians/Shelbourne
Maccabi Haifa (Israel) v Portadown /Belshina Bobruisk
Lillestrom v Zeljeznicar Sarajevo/Akranes
Hammarby v Partizan Belgrade
Sparta Prague v Torpedo Kutaisi/Torshavn
Sheriff Tiraspol/Zhenis Astana v Grazer AK

Don't see many big guns in there except for Dynamo Kiev. We'll be seeded so will end up getting some unknowns anyway.

Teams such as AJ Auxerre, Bayern München, Feyenoord, Internazionale and Real Madrid will be probably seeded with us.

Check this link for all the seeds:

Wouldn't it be hilarious if we were drawn against Shelbourne. Keano would love that. So would I when United dance a sackful in against the FAI's flagship league of Ireland champions. Fungers crossed. Would like nothing better than Keano's next competitive game in Ireland to be for United.

Well, looking at that, I'd want us to avoid Brugge, Kiev, Brondby, Boavista and Sparta Prague

remeber when chelsea had to go to israel to play earlier in the year and half the team didn't want to go and they got beat.

I forgot they were champions but I am sure we will get some unknown team like we did in the treble season (some Polish team).
