UNDER 23'S: XI v DERBY: O'Hara (GK), El Fitouri, Tuanzebe, Poole, Riley, Redmond, Scott, Willock, McTominay, Harrop, Hamilton
Subs: Moutha-Sebtaoui (GK), Olosunde, Williams, Chong, Doughty

Chong rewarded this week with a spot on the bench. Hamilton looks like he might have earned himself a regular spot in the u23s after a couple of impressive performances too.

Funnily Hamilton would contribute to the U23s more than the U18s.The current U18s XI is just nice for development purpose.

Looking to get my United 'fix' with the u23's tonight, since the senior side are proving to be a dodgy batch.

If you're looking for goals, they don't score many.

Derby are poor at this level though, so we should be winning this quite comfortably.

McTominay is clearly not a natural finisher.

We should be home and hosed.

Just started watching and immediately Derby scored. How have we played? Brilliant ball by Harrop for our goal

If it happens he should look at Danny Drinkwater and aim for that. It is how you deal with it and your character. The other way is to feel sorry for yourself.

Danny's game was suited to the lower leagues and he has done well off of running about and launching long balls to Vardy since Ranieri took over. Josh is a small, slight technical player, the kind that on paper should be able to drop down and do well for a couple seasons but in reality will probably be a journeyman around the UK.

Shame. He does look good.

He should go to Belgium or Holland, they would value his qualities...if Giverin(Martin before him) was been able to win player of the year in Belgium second divison its safe to assume that player of Harrop caliber would be a big hit in top divisions.

Why's that? He'll go through the loan system first I think.

I think he'd have to really excel out on loan in order to make it here. He's 21 in December, so hopefully he goes out on loan in January.

An impressive 5 month spell for someone could earn him a good move in the summer.

Olosunde had an impressive cameo btw. Very positive and involved in both 2nd half goals.

Yeah I mean that's the case for any player. They'll have to really impress to get a chance here. Not sure why he has to move anywhere though.

I think it's frustrating when you see players in the first team squad lacking technique and there you have a lad who has plenty to offer.

I think he's very similar to Lallana in terms of style of play.

He excelled at League One and Championship football before cementing his place as a Premier League player.

I agree, wholeheartedly. More kids from England should try and make something of themselves abroad. With the right attitude a lot of them could earn themselves a move back within a couple of years of hard work.
