I'm putting Wilson's injuries down to him not being fully grown, he seems to pick up a lot of little knocks but still plays a fair bit.
According to newbie @mnoorani, Powell starts instead of Goss.
Edit: Nope, Goss starts. But mnoorani did send me an official team sheet with Powell in the starting XI. Guess he must have picked up a late injury.
