Barclays Under 21 Premier League
Kick off: Monday, 19 August, 7:00 PM BST
Location: Salford City Stadium, Barton-upon-Irwell, Eccles, Salford

Having played each other once, either home or away, the top four teams in the 22-club table will progress to the semi-final stage and final to determine the overall Barclays Under-21 Premier League winners.

The Academies who finish first and fourth in the League will meet in one semi-final, with the former at home, while the second and third-placed clubs will meet in the other semi-final, with the League runners-up deemed the home team.

This season each team is required to play at least three of their home matches at their nominated home stadium, with training grounds and Academy venues permitted for the staging of up to three home matches.

The u21 schedule lists two games already played, against Ramsbottom in a pre-season friendly, probably something like this:

O'Hara
Varela McNair Grimshaw Rowley
Pearson Rothwell
Barmby Lawrence Weir
Byrne
And the LSC Final against City, with something like this:
Johnstone
Wootton Thorpe M Keane Vermijl
Ekangamene Petrucci
Cole Lingard Januzaj
Macheda
We'll know a lot more about the line-up for this game after Swansea, as thankfully this game is on the monday after.

Live on MUTV tomorrow night. Free to everyone I believe

We should thrash them if Januzaj, Cole and Lingard are playing.

Really exciting line up. Varela at right back, Adnan behind Hentiquez and Pettruci in the middle.

I'd love to see Pettruci get a chance.

And they are.

Amos

Varela, Thorpe, Keane, Vermijl

Cole Ekangemene Petrucci Lingard

Januzaj Henriquez

Gollini, Lawrence, Blackett, Rothewell, Grimshaw on the bench.

its on Liverpool tv.

(Liverpool tv is free to sky customers in Ireland).

Damn, very sexy line-up. I think that's pretty much exactly what I hoped to see.

The amount of work Januzaj puts in tonight will speak a lot to his character.

LFC TV is marginally worse than MUTV isn't it? MUTV doesn't seem to be free tonight on Virgin.

The 'Hi I'm Steven Gerrard and this is LFC TV' bit is quite cringey.

Great to see Rothwell on the bench, hope he gets on.

Not really mentioned when we talk about our most exciting prospects, but he is most definitely right up there imo.

Yep, I fully expect him to put in a shift and put in a standout performance.

If he hadn't been so injury prone over the last two years then he'd have been seen as a bigger talent than Pearson.

Anyone have any update on Will? Last I heard he was back in training.
