It's never dead rubber when playing Liverpool. Pride is at stake plus finishing above them is a bonus. The kids need a winning mentality.

Don't get me wrong... not arguing that pride is involved and the last thing we'll want is a Liverpool victory at Old Trafford. Just saying that the result does not make that much difference in terms of the more important game that follows subsequently in the league semi.

How much are the tickets and can you pay at the turnstile? Been looking on the club website and can't find anything.

Dead rubber game then... but also preparation for the semi as we know we'll be playing them.

Not quite...Southampton play their last game at home tonight against West Ham. Liverpool play Friday night away at Arsenal and then away to us.

If Saints win and Liverpool lose both of theirs...Southampton will qualify and the scousers will be out of it.

When I've gone youth cup games just had to buy a ticket from the office round the back of the north stand before kick off.

Liverpool got the draw, so it is indeed a 'dead rubber'.

Couple hours until kick off, anyone have any idea of team news?

Rumours of 2000 Scouse having made the trip.

Went last year when United took about 1500 to theirs, police are going to have to start keeping a better eye on it.

United Line up; Amos, Vermijl, Thorpe, Fornasier, James, Cole, Charni, Tunnicliffe, Blackett, Januzaj, Lingard.

Subs; Sutherland, Lawrence, Pearson, Grimshaw, Wilson.

Should be a good game. The team always seem to play better football on the more expansive pitches so looking forward to seeing Cole, Lingard and Januzaj in action.

Daehli in senior squad?

Daehli in senior squad?
Doubt it, they've both played in the U18's and it looks like the coaches feel that Januzaj is more ready for the progression to the U21's and first team squad than Daehli at the moment.

Has Pearson played for the U-21s this year?

I'm way out of touch this season.

Has Pearson played for the U-21s this year?

I'm way out of touch this season.

He made a 20 minute debut against Oldham a few months ago, and then started against them again in a behind closed doors game last week along with some other u18s.

This is his first start in the u21 league against strong opposition.

Turns out Pearson isn't actually starting. Blackett is instead.

Ah damn. Weird that there are 3 U18's on the bench but no Daehli ?

What's happened to Samed Yesil, the 19 year old German striker that Liverpool signed? Would be expecting him to play in this really.

Any chance of a stream?

great goal by shelvey

Hell of a couple of minutes even... Liverpool down to ten.

Penalty united, man sent off. KM il sort ye now.

just outside the box

I believe I said it last time we played 'em and I'll say it again; Sama is one of the least intelligent players I've ever seen.

Wasted. But 85 minutes with 10 men for Liverpool.

This game is mental. Has to be a red for Shelvey there too.

What a pass by Januzaj that was.

Cooled off a bit now, probably for the best. Lingard could've been sent off for that tackle Shelvey reacted to.

Tunnerz passing is really improving
