Hmm, why is this allowed to be shown live even when there’s Premier League games played at the same time? What am I missing?

Anyway a win here would be a huge step towards advancement to the quarter-finals. Especially a 3-point win.

United U21s 2 +5 6
Oldham 2 +1 4
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Stoke U21s 2 +3 3
Rochdale 1 +3 3
Wolves U21s 1 0 2
Altrincham 2 -4 2
Blackburn U21s 2 -3 1
Forest Green 2 -5 0

Is there any other kind?

Ah, ok. Bit of a weird format. I'd say the yanks love it. They can't understand draws.

Haha I’m sure

Maybe it’s designed to give the youngsters experience of penalty shootouts without forcing the first teams to play another 30 minutes in their tight schedule.

I kind of like it as well - especially in tournaments like this. Adds a bit of space - and it's probably good for their development to be put in that situation

Binnion:

”We’re looking forward to it, at their stadium, I think we’ll get a good crowd in.

“They play really good football, they’ll cause us problems no doubt, but, as with every game, we’ll have a plan, we think we can hurt them and we’re really looking forward to it.”

Glad to see Dan Gore starting again for the second game in a row - hope he gets more than a half this time. Also excited to see Mantato and Obi Martin on the bench.

Haven’t seen much of Moorhouse - big game for him. Looks like Amass with first team if Shaw isn’t travelling.

That's a really cool Adidas commercial with Barry Keoghan and all the ex/current United players they just played at halftime.

Lacking some cutting edge in the first half. Moorhouse with a few nice runs, and Ennis with a good deal of the ball on the left but not much doing.

Alty with a 3-1 lead over Stoke U21s. If they can hold on and I’ve calculated correctly, only Oldham and Wolves U21s can mathematically go past us.

Safe to say we’re through in my opinion.

Must say Wheatley’s finishing has been underwhelming.

His whole season has been underwhelming - the talent is there, but he need to regain his form from last year fast or he wont be first choice at this level much longer

I thought our right back , Kamason, was excellent. Good games from Fletcher and Ennis.
