KO 19:00 pm on Monday 23 Nov at Carrow Road.Should be live on MUTV.

Will be interesting to see which team we put out with the U19s match on Wednesday and some players might be needed for the first team with all the injuries.

I would play something like this tomorrow: Johnstone - Varela,El-Fitouri,Tuanzebe,Riley - Weir,Redmond,Rothwell - Powell,Fletcher,Wilson (assuming Goss and Rashford with the first team).

Wilson was injured on Friday. Redmond might play with the u-19s and Willock play in the u-21s. Rathbone or Doughty might replace Wilson in the starting eleven.

I think it was just a knock for Wilson.Doughty might play U19s as striker if Rashford with first team.I don't think Joyce wanna throw Rathbone in at this point,he's going to be eaten alive physically at this level.

We need the strongest squad possible in the U19s for them to qualify so I would play Willock down, partner with Fosu-Mensah.

With so many injuries, I'll expect a second string U-21 team today.

Can't believe we've only played 3 games so far this season! That's just terrible.

Powell & Tuanzebe starts, Rashord on the bench.

United U21 line up; Johnstone, Varela, Tuanzebe, Borthwick-Jackson, Riley, Redmond, Goss, Weir, Powell, Harrop, Fletcher.

Nice to see Powell back!

Guess we have enough players back in the 1st team, and why Rashford and Goss are with the U-21's

Edit: Just realized we've registered Powell for the Champions League group stages

Wow Powell is back!

Some surprising names there considering U19 game is coming. Seems this has taken priority.

I'm impressed so far. For a team who have played together so little this year we look very organised and fluid.

This ref though!!!

Norwich are winding us up. Harrop should probably have just gotten a red for a horrible challenge, seemingly in retaliation to something going with on with Powell.

We're dominating but not really creating much.

HT 0-0.

Redmond surprised me so far.His best performance since that 5-1 win against Boro U18s 2 years ago.Looks like my prediction about Joyce to get the best out of him is going on nicely.

Pretty nasty from Harrop and Powell looks like he is going to knock some heads off.

Dominating the game, just need to do better with the final shot. Rudd is a good keeper though.

Varela is class. Powell looks trim if a little off the pace, 9 months out will do that to you though.

Riley and Varela look good at the full back positions, CBJ and Tuanzebe have looked solid.

Mature if unspectacular performance so far. Keep it up and we'll get the 3 points. But f*ck me, Harrop, that was shocking..

Varela can't be first team material, there is no conceivable reason why he wouldn't be a first team player at 22 if he was good enough. Powell is average for me as well, both he and Varela are holding back younger talents in the youth set up if they aren't ever going to be considered first team material.

I know Powell has been injured but he's shown little sign of being good enough in either of his loan spell.

to be fair norwich started first with nasty moves, to be precise - Kyle Lafferty.

Yeah, and we gave them what they were after as we really should've been down to 10 by now. Not good enough but part of the learning-curve.

I'm sure Varela will go on January if not summer.Tbf we have a small U21s squad and injuries as well so they're not really holding back anyone.

Norwich score from pretty much their first chance, ball over the top, first touch finish to the top corner. Lovely, lovely finish.
