A debut for Keane and a possible further three debutants on the bench.

How comes Davide Petrucci hasn't been in either squad for the Reserves on Wednesday or the Academy today? He's not even been on the bench which is odd, is he injured or something?

Tidy enough but very easily knocked off the ball so far.

A frustrating half of football that, the early goal gave Stoke something to defend and they've done so very well.
 
Very poor first half from united no fluidity in our play at all

Yeah we dont have any physical presence up front maybe Cofie will offer some

Poor result. A very frustrating match. Unusual to see an academy side park The bus but equally a good learning experience for them.

Ajose annoyed me today. good to see more debutants from the youth team. Cofie looks like some prospect, not to sure what hes like technically but he certainly has the physical attributes

Deco I think you jinxed the game by telling me Id get my blue peter badge today. Theres no chance of finding highlights from this :lol:
 
Dissapointing result but excellent to see 4 lads making their u18 debuts.

Keane was lively early on but it was a difficult match in which to make one's first academy start.

Hussain looked good on the ball, two footed and quick but like everyone else he failed to stamp any real authority on our attacking game.

Cofie is very big and very fast. Confident and aggressive, some nice touches.

Cole had a few decent involvements but didn't see much of the ball in his short cameo.
 
It should at least be a learning experience, it was the type of opposition that they will have to face all the while they're at United - teams will park the bus and you will have to try to move them around and exploit any gaps etc. Shame we couldn't at least get a draw from it though.

Anyone? We really could have done with Petrucci today in fact, he's clever enough to find the spaces and talented enough to exploit them.

It is very sad to see an academy side being all about organisation ------ good experience for our lads a pity for the Stoke players because a couple looked quite talented.
