We’re getting some players back, especially forwards, so I’m confident we’ll get back on track in the league.

United XI:

Byrne-Hughes
Kamason
Mills
Kukonki
Plunkett
T.Fletcher (C)
Bailey
Ibragimov
Thwaites
Musa
Biancheri

Subs: Armer, Heath, Overy, Lusale, Lacey

Most likely in the U21s squad on Monday.
Forgot the Monday game, big one too? (edit. stories saying Moorhouse expected to be with first team tomorrow)
He plays for 21s usually, the fayc aside
Thought he’d only played for them a couple of times. Must be confusing youth teams.

Need to win by 6 to go back on top of the table....could be tough without Chido - but Newcastle generally are really poor defensively.

Funny when you see all our sides except the men’s side are doin quite well. U18s 2nd, woman’s 2nd, u21s 4th.

Plunkett has been dangerous on the left wing, playing high and getting into some good positions.

18’

Biancheri taps it in but the goal is ruled offside. Beautiful team move.

Some shocking misses last few weeks. Just makes things harder.

You notice when Scanlon and Chido is missing - they would have scored a few goals in this game

Lacey RW on for Musa, Gabe as 9 and move Ibragimov to LW but the subs will take forever to happen and Musa will somehow stay on the pitch.

Don't see it with Plunkett. But... Byrne-Hughes looks like a really good goalkeeper. I don't think he has even conceded a goal this season. Very proactive.

He is superb with his feet but I rate Murdock higher in terms of the old school goalkeeping attributes.

Lusale especially out of our new intake has been a disappointment this season. I hope he improves in his 2nd season.
Plunkett too is not looking up to the required level. Outside Obi our recruitment was pants this season.

Another day of terrible finishing costs us badly. Huge blow to the title hopes now. This team is lacking a striker so bad, I don't what it will take to displace Musa but it needs to happen. Biancheri coming back to full fitness does it hopefully if not it's time to promote Bradbury.

Frustrating game and poor result.

We're a lot less clinical without the likes of Obi and Scanlon.

Though we had enough attacking quality out there with Biancheri, Lacey and Ibragimov - and Thwaites and Fletcher in midfield (I'm excluding Musa!) But the first three have all been injured a lot of late so maybe are still rusty and lacking match sharpness. At least it was good to see them all on the field together, even if it proved a frustrating game.

Too bad about the result but I enjoyed the highlights. Crazy talent in that team with Amir, Lacey, Thwaites, and Lusale. Felt like a Fergie team chasing a goal.
