U18s: United vs. Chelsea

We're playing Bloton, not Chelsea.

Les Kershaw doing the side-commentary. Infinitely more interesting then all the others combined.

A bit late but this is the team:

Henderson, C. Evans, McConnell, Ioannou, Barber, Rashford, Willock, Goss, Thompson, Croskery. A. Fletcher
Subs: Borthwick-Jackson, Dorrington, Riley, Tuanzebe

Good game this, 2 tidy sides with us just edging it at half time.

Croskery rarely gets a mention but I quite like him. He seems to have more to his game than someone like Byrne. In fact, his determination reminds me a bit of Rooney. Linking up well with a classy Fletcher.

Another good save from Henderson. Our GKs at all levels have put in top performances this last week or so.

we play quite well - but here is no balance in our side when we attack.

"Sorry for any inappropriate language - not from you Les" (seconds after Kershaw suggests calling Borthwick-Jackson for BJ

That was funny

Finished 3-2 Bolton they scored an excellent goal from a free kick and another good strike from the edge of the box into the bottom corner. Our reply was a deflected effort from fletcher. Interesting to hear McGuiness wasn't involved with the win against middlesboro because he was away scouting players for next year

Under 16s won 3-1 Cal Nicholas scored in his last game before he joins Liverpool

Why is he joining them? Better deal?

He was mouthing off on twitter about being annoyed with United a few months back. Shame as he seemed to be one of the more promising of his age group.

There have been a couple on there complaining about the academy set-up recently.

My bad, the U21s were playing Chelsea and my brain likes to switch things around sometimes.

If a mod wants to change the threat title please do because I don't think I can.

Perhaps the source of the annoyance Drainy alludes to?
Yeah more than likely it cant be easy when hes been with us since he was 5. Hope he does well and makes a good career for himself
