U18s - Sunderland vs Manchester United

United lead 2-0 at half time, Greenwood x 1, Traore x 1.

4-0 McCann, 60th minute.

Missing a cracker here.

The U18's are looking superb again this season! Greenwood classy as ever but Laird looks first team material to me... Rolls Royce of a full back defending and attacking!

I think we need to send Greenwood and Laird to the U23s soon because this is too easy for them, feel like cheating. If we don't already have Garner up there I would suggest sending Traore or Levitt up too.

Adding Laird and Greenwood to the U23s would be huge boost for the promotion challenge, we've started the season with some good results but the football's been lacking at times, throw these two in there and I think even Sbragia would struggle making them dull to watch.

Tomorrow's game against Juve is going to be very interesting! Real test to see how good some of these kids really are!

To be fair most of them are already internationals which can attest to their quality, can't say I know a great deal about the Juventus team but Moise Kean is already quite a well known name and Pablo Moreno is highly rated too, we were linked with him before he moved there I believe. Their U23 team are 4th in their league, however they've also played more games than anyone else so difficult to tell gauge good they are. They beat Young Boys 2-1 and Valencia 1-0 so far.

Is it really that great of a test? Juve have sent u17 sides to Toronto for the last two years and first year they lost to Toronto FC and then this year they lost to a regional select team of kids which is just a mishmash of kids, not even a real team.

Just glanced at it from work but did Ethan Laird have 4 assists ? And Greenwood...2 goals, 2 assists and third-last on the ball on 2 more goals.....

Thats 11 in 8 games for Greenwood - and 5-6 assists I think (and he has missed 2 penalties)

Just watched the highlights now.

Is Laird a RB? To get a goal and 3 assists is phenomenal. Looks a hell of a prospect.

Yep and he is an hell of a prospect. After Greenwood, he's the most likely to make it in this team IMO.

How many assists does Laird have for the season? He's been great going forward so far.
