They will play MSK Zilina on 25th of October. Hopefully there will be stream.

The travelling squad consists of all first year scholars except for Gomes and Burkart who both will be on international duty, 10 U16s including new signing Yeboah Amankwah and U15 Mason Greenwood. Basically an U17s squad.

Who are the u16s travelling beside Amankwah?
 
The squad looks quite balanced except for the lack of striker. I guess the first choices would be:

Forjicek
O'Connor - Barrett - Dunne - Spratt
Garner - Levitt
Tanner - Barlow - Chong
Greenwood

Maybe change the backline to give some kids more experience:

Laird - O'Connor - Ercolani - Belehouan
 
Based on shirt numbers:

Forjicek
O'Connor - Barrett - Dunne - Spratt
Levitt - Barlow
Tanner - McGhee - Mellor
Chong
 
We have a lot of possession but so far it's been quite pointless, Zilina playing more direct.
 
Barlow and Levitt did well in midfield, as did Barrett on defence bar a poor pass. Spratt and Dunne have been poor though Spratt probably short on fitness. McGhee and Mellor quite quiet.

Do we have any strikers at youth level? Swear every time I look at one of these threads, u18 or u23, people are talking about the lack of strikers.
 
Could have easily been a penalty, Dunne's not having a great game
 
Chong puts the ball in the empty net, 3-1. Strong work on the right from no 15 (Greenwood?).

Edit: Read this completely wrong haha. Yeah like Khoa said that was Ethan Laird. I was thinking of the ball Greenwood played over from the left to Tanner just before that.

Good to see that we have two promising prospects at right back in Laird and O'Connor. Warren too if he can get back up to speed again.
 
Who was no.12 who came on up front? And 17 at RB? Any ideas?

Oh OK. Can imagine him at DM actually, but he looks very comfortable on the right, all the other bits I've seen of him have been at full back and I've been impressed so I guess if the height doesn't come then he's got a more than decent fallback option out wide.

At U/18 level we have Burkart, Roberts and Bohui.

Under that we have Dolan and Greenwood.

It's the U/23's where we lack strikers...mainly because they have all been sold or gone out on loan and our intake over the last few year has been poor.

I expect this to get better.

Of the younger lads I thought Greenwood, Laird and Levitt all did really well. Levitt's passing was really good and looked a more mature player than some of the older lads.

They're the ones that I'd expect/hope would get some minutes towards the end of the season with the Under-18s.
