Lineup: Dorrington, Riley, Warren, Tuanzebe, Williams, Borthwick-Jackson, Dearnley, McTominay, Mitchell, Thompson, Rathbone

Subs: Redmond, Henderson, Johnson, Makela

Kick off 12.30, not on MUTV.

1-0 United after 10 mins. Demi Mitchell the scorer

Anyone know what happened to obi and Borg?

Peter Bolton seems to be the only one watching the games so he's anyones best bet for updates. Apparently United are trying to get Oscar Borg but it's gone to tribunal. Obi has apparently been released but I'm not sure what that means with regards to United.

This chap goes to every games doesn't he. He is really dedicated.

Kehinde, Rashford, Scott missing still. Gribbin too today and Borg.

Kenyon seems to have real bad luck with injuries as well.

Good result that away. Good to see Mitchell really starting to step up.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're showing highlights of the game at some point tomorrow.

Roshaun Williams seems to be doing well in this side this season. I saw him after the Swansea game last week (he's my Dad's mates son). He's still only 15. I saw him in the Milk Cup and a couple of times for England in the victory shield. He was telling me how much he's enjoying it and how strict Paul McGuinness is!

Mitchell's third was a nice little goal; a great ball from Redmond and a nice lob from Demi. The highlights weren't much to go on but Riley and Tuanzebe looked lively. Seemed a rather lucky win, they missed a penalty and Williams cleared a ball off the line. Dorrington didn't look great.

Dorrington didn't look great.

First start for him at this level so it is expected to be difficult for him.Sadly I can see him being released after this season with Milinkovic coming in and Henderson is a better prospect.

A report from Newcastle's perspective.....

Newcastle U18s 2 Manchester United U18s 3

It's now two defeats in as many games for the U18s, after last week's loss at the mackems was followed by an eventful home reverse to the Red Devils on Saturday.

Newcastle's youngsters had completed a league double over the same opponents last season, but this time round were unable to contain livewire winger Demetri Mitchell.

The England U17 international put his side ahead from close range on 10 minutes before beating home 'keeper Freddie Woodman from the spot just past the half hour.

Home striker Luke Charman had struck the crossbar with a header in between those two goals and the Magpies gave themselves some hope when Sean Longstaff netted just before half time - his second goal in as many outings.

What proved to be the winner then arrived after 64 minutes, Mitchell completing his hat trick with a coolly- executed lob over the advancing Woodman.

A second penalty award of the afternoon went the way of Newcastle, but Jordan Storey planted his spot kick against the goal frame with 13 minutes remaining after Jamie Holmes had been clearly impeded in the area.

And although the Magpies did belatedly beat visiting custodian George Dorrington again when defender Kyle Cameron headed home in second half added time, no further goals came their way.
