If that predicted line-up is right, it'll be the first time I get to see Thompson and Buffonge (btw, when someone farted in my car a few days ago I spontaneously asked "who buffonged?" True story. I'm pretty sure the fact he's already part of my subconscious bodes well for his United career).

Hopefully Fosu Mensah will be involved since Everton are always strong at this level and the under 21's dont play again for a month

DJ Buffonge is a top quality name. You have to hope we sign him up, if only for the DJ/Bouffant/Sponge/Farting photoshop possibilities.

Just had a look at that England squad. Gomes the only United player whilst Chelsea have five in the squad!

Only Gomes and Brandon Williams (U15s) were on England trial last season and Williams just came back from a long injury so not that hard to understand. We also have a Wales international in that age group.

I have never watched either Kehinde or Whelan for a full game so would prefer the same midfield.

Have to assume the U21s will arrange a number of friendlies in this month (plus) with no games. Think TFM has outgrown U18 football by now anyway and there's a lot more to gain from Dunne, Kehinde and Whelan playing at this point.

Great FK by Gribbin.

Buffonge is talented.

Going to enjoy watching this group.

Buffonge seems to have good feet and looks fairly quick, but his passing's been a bit off all half.

And what's the deal with Kehinde? The official site says he missed last season with a back injury rather than permit issues. Either way, great to have him back.

Both of them.He missed the first half of the season due to paperwork and second half due to his back.

@khoazany What's your opinion on the GK's in our youth set up? Who do you rate highly, who do you not?

Johnstone,Joel Pereira,Henderson and Campbell (U16s) are the highly rated ones. The rest, not so much though most of them are decent.Personally not so convinced by Joel Pereira though.

Good run from that Everton lad, but United can't be happy conceding a goal like that. 3-1 Everton

Lots of possession and good approach play from United but no clear chances being created.

FT: 1-3 United defensively very suspect but good possession and approach throughout the game.

Milinkovic-Savic no good? Just a bit random because his brother had a very good season at Genk, and has now joined Lazio I think.

Never played in a United shirt so hard to judge.Didn't look convincing in highlights.

Its worth noting that a number of the players in the United team are only coming back from injuries and had very little or no pre season which could be seen in the difference in sharpness between the 2 teams. Overall Everton deserved the win they identified a weakness pace wise down United's left and exploited it well but there were some encouraging signs for United as well despite the defeat
