Kick-off 11am at Altrincham tomorrow.Live on MUTV.

Squad status:
United:
Fosu-Mensah possibly unavailable due to the U17s Euro Qualifer. Tuanzebe didn't play last week so he might still injured or something. If both of them can't play we might have to partner Williams with Jimmy Dunne or Scott in defence.

Chelsea:
Ike Ugbo possibly unavailable due to the U17s Euro Qualifer. There's a chance that Boga,Musonda or Brown will feature as they were all either on the bench or not in the squad at all for Chelsea U21s on Thursday.Chelsea will have another U21s squad next Monday so very unlikely for them to field a strong squad though.

Predicted XI:
United: Henderson - Reid,Scott,Williams,Borthwick-Jackson - Thompson,Redmond - Croskery,Gribbin,Riley - Rashford
Subs: Byrne,Dunne,Rathbone,Hamilton

Chelsea: Collins - Wakefield,Tomori,Grant,Cole Dasilva - Ali,Sammut,Scott - Bolkiah,Boga,Muheim.
Subs: J.Thompson,Christie-Davies,T.Chalobah,Mount

Also our U12s will act as ballboys tomorrow.

Paul McGuinness is pleased with his squad's progress as Manchester United Under-18s prepare to face Chelsea in a crucial showdown at Altrincham's J. Davidson Stadium on Saturday, with free entry for all.

The youngsters have performed superbly in the play-off stages of the nationwide division and moved top of the table with a 2-0 win at Tottenham last weekend. Chelsea are clearly one of the top youth sides in the country, sealing another FA Youth Cup success in midweek, but United approach the penultimate game of the season in confident mood.

Some of the Academy squad have been working with Warren Joyce's Under-21s, which is a natural process, with skipper Axel Tuanzebe getting some minutes on the pitch at that level and others making the bench on occasion.

"It’s exactly what we want," McGuinness explained to ManUtd.com. "Some of them have done very well and it’s the next challenge, the best thing is for them to be with Warren and training with his group.

"Sometimes, they have been involved in the games too and that’s the natural evolution we want of them moving up. Axel has come in and done a good job, seeing out the last few minutes of games, which is all good experience for him. That’s the professionalism as an even higher level of professionalism is required when you’re that close to the first team. Sometimes coming on to do a job in a position that is not your normal one is all good for development."

The here and now is very much about the Under-18 team and their quest for what would be a remarkable title triumph. Middlesbrough, one of the main rivals for the crown, will provide the opposition in the final game of the campaign on 9 May at Rockcliffe Park.

No Mitchell, Dearnley, Tfm and Tuanzebe is a huge loss, Im sceptical.

Fosu Mensah will be the biggest loss as he is the key for us not losing the midfield battle. Great presence and helps a lot that he can bring the ball when we cant impose our passing game. Tuanzebe and Mitchell will also be missed but i think they are used to play without Demi and Scott can replace Tuanzebe at the back.
Dearnley wouldnt be in my team even when Demi is unavailable, dont rate him at all so i dont think he will be missed. Lets hope little Angel Gomes will be on the bench as we are without 3 midfielders/wingers. Four if we count Scott as DM.

Gomes is on international duty with England U15s.

Well, that changes things. I'm sure the young Chelsea lads are talented but we really should dominate and win this game quite handsomely now.

Rarely works out that way though. We've a few talented lads out and not sure how many goals are in this team currently. Mitchell is a big loss. I think our back line though is very promising.

I've rarely seen the U18s for the last couple of years, but Reed has been very impressive so far this match.

what is our defensive record at that level? That defense is really something! And Tuanzebe not even in the squad..

I'm happy that Gribbin have signed a scholarship with us, but so far he seems lazy and uninterested..

My stream died, if anyone has a working one a PM would be appreciated.

Actually, it quite frequently works out that way when you have almost an entire XI made up of inexperienced lads stepping up above their natural age-group. These Chelsea lads, though, seem very physically mature for a bunch of u16s.

MUTV is really shit... The game goes on for two minutes then it freezes and turns to shit.. We apologise for the poor picture blah blah blah..

Lovely touch in the box but really should've finished it.

Chelsea have been piling the pressure on United in the second half.. Well deserved.

Fully deserved winner for Chelsea. United couldn't keep hold of the ball for longer than a few seconds.

One of our most lackluster performances all season. Disappointing and unnecessary.

Chelsea deserved to win.United's attacking trio has been disappointing and too much hoofball from defence.Reid and Borthwick-Jackson played well.
