U18s - Manchester United vs Blackburn

Looking at Greenwood - he could be one of the best goalscorers we have had at this level. The ones I can recall who had a terrific goalscoring record was Rossi, Ebanks-Blake, Campbell, Keane and Wilson

2-0 Greenwood again...terrific chip
 
Blackburn had a decent spell but United back on top, very impressed with Elanga so far. United unlucky not to make it 2-0.
 
Don't want to sound like I'm overrating our players here but some of this U18 group really are far too good for that level.
 
Greenwood is so bloomin exciting! Two footed, great balance, pace, clinical and ridiculously strong for his age! Would love to see him get a game this season in one of the cups!
 
Traore's been excellent today. Elanga should have squared that and it would've been 3-0.
 
The player who has impressed me the most on the pitch is Blackburns right-winger - Jack Vale. He has been really impressive
 
2-1, Blackburn score right on half time. We'll be disappointed with that as we've had a lot of chances to make it 3. Traore, Levitt, Elanga and Laird been United's best players this half.
 
Greenwood is a great talent, 2 footed and knows where the goal is.We could do with him on the first team.

He's still 16 would be my guess. I wouldn't be surprised to see him promoted at the same time Gomes/Chong were last season, which I think was about January.

I agree but I also thought Keane would be a defo too.

Fair enough, yes he is very young so it makes sense, but he looks too good for this level
 
2-2 now, we’ve definitely lacked concentration at times today. 30 minutes left to play.
 
3-2, Elanga, very bad defending from Blackburn. Ethan Laird with some very good work to win it back, he's another I think's probably too good for this level.

I hope it's not due to age. If u18s aren't challenging him anymore, it's best for him to get promoted. It's not like he's small like Angel.

I don't think it's age, pretty sure he just turned 17. He's just a very good player, I've rarely seen him struggle and he does a very good job attacking and defending.
 
Blackburn again with some dodgy defending, Mellor wins it back but can't put it past the keeper, still 3-2.
 
3-3, blind back pass and then the shot goes through the keeper’s legs :lol: just as we miss another good chance at the other end, 10 minutes remaining.

Aye, standard of defending today has been questionable. On a more positive note though, Traore has been brilliant today, what a player he could turn out to be.
