Leeds vs U18s (live on MUTV)
Sunderland vs U21s

The U18s are looking to continue their perfect record at the expense of Leeds, who are bottom of the North table with two points from seven games and a GD of -16.

Should be an easy win - Leeds are awful defensively. 15 goals against in their last 3 league matches including 0-6 against Derby says it all really.

They are still a rival. Please no jinx. :o
well I do appreciate that you think I am powerful enough to influence the outcome of a football-game by writing a message on a website but....it's probably a bit more likely that if the boys and the coaching staff perform as they usually do - we will win.

Interesting lineup. Four CBs basically, Mantato is back, Thwaites continues as a CM and Ibragimov gets another start.

U21s:

While Sunderland are below us in the PL2 table, they've been in pretty good form recently.

October:
5 matches
5 wins
16 goals scored
2 goals conceded

AM Harrison Jones and GK Dan Cameron have both been nominated for PL2 Player of the Month.

U21s:

Interesting, Adil Aouchiche starts for Sunderland U21s. Remember us being linked with him when he was running his contract down at PSG.

Obi Martin on bench? Boo!

Also, as another posted asked, where's Lacey?

Strange from them to only give us information about u18. Was looking forward to see Ibra, Lacey and Obi-Martin link up again.

We'll find out soon enough. Well, probably from google after kickoff as United won't give us anything. But yeah it looks like Biancheri and Lacey are with the U21s today.
Cheers. Presume the u-21s match is not being televised anywhere ?

They've done that all season. If they don't show the game they act as if it doesn't exist.

I thought Twaites was a forward/striker? What is his position?

He made some cameos last season as an AM or a winger but we'll see what type of a player he develops into, positionally too. He can finish from a range with both feet and is a dangerous player around the box, but we've got plenty of attacking talent in the team so I'm excited to see him play a bit deeper. Was very good in that role last weekend. He'll be an #8 or a #10 in the future.

Nope. U21 games can't be shown live when the PL is on at the same time. Stupid rule really.
Oh yea. Knew about that stupid rule but forgot that Arsenal play at the same time. Meh. Atleast we can watch the u-18s smash another team. :D

Worrying that Lacey's not involved in either, given his recent injury issues. Good to see Kone featuring in the U21 squad (not that we'll get to see it of course ).

When I watched him dominate for France's U17s at the Euros I did not imagine that 5 years later he'd be playing PL2 football for Sunderland.

Yeap

Seems he’s not favoured by their current manager. The talent is obvious though.

I even made a thread about him when he was doing well in 20/21 for Saint Etienne. He's talented but he hasnt done much for Sunderland so far

14’

Almost 0-2 from Musa. Munro does well to reach Thwaites’s corner and the Leeds keeper tips Musa’s header over the bar.

These inswinging corners from Mantato have been causing so many problems for them.

Eight corners inside 16 minutes for the U18s  45 for the match if they can keep it up.

Beautiful technique and plenty of power.
Yup. It's good that he's adding more strings to his bow. Moving from LB to right wing and being a very good threat to now taking dangerous corners. Almost Saka like.
