With this season nearly coming into an end I have been wondering a lot about what would the next season be for the U18s.Nearly all of the U16s (who're still at the club) has been thrown into the recent U18s squad to test their capability of stepping up into the next level so we already have some ideas about their position, playing style etc,...

Just to recap this will probably be the U18s squad for next season without new signings:
GKs: Henderson,Dorrington,Byrne
DFs: Borthwick-Jackson,Tuanzebe,J.Dunne,Scott,Reid,Williams(schoolboy),Johnson,Warren(schoolboy)
MFs: Redmond,Thompson,McTominay,Kehinde,Gribbin(schoolboy)
Wingers/No.10/Forwards: Rathbone,Mitchell,Riley,Croskery,Rashford,Dearnley(schoolboy),Makela(schoolboy)

Likely first-choice XI according to McGuinness's selection in the recent U18s matches: Henderson-Scott,CBJ,Tuanzebe,Williams-Thompson(Kehinde rotated),Redmond-Mitchell,Rashford,Riley-Croskery.

Obviously it would be really difficult to judge without knowing who'll be new signings but how do you think about the strength of this squad?Any youngster you think will make a breakthrough (probably featuring in the U21s ahead of schedule like Wilson,Janko,...?).Can we go far in FA Youth Cup with this current squad?

Lemme format that for ya!

I have no idea where to get info on players below the U18s, any suggestions?

Thanks for the help. However I think you need to switch Williams and CBJ plus Riley and Mitchell.

That Rhain Davis boy, he should be 16 or 17 this year no? Is he still with our youth set-up?

That wasn't up-to-date.He was released last season as an U15s.Still play for us until that season finished that's why some though he was retained.

The list above already included all the player that will step up from the U16s (which was Rhain's age group).

He's released? What a shame, I remembered getting excited that we've got a prospective wonderkid on our hands after seeing that vid of him as a 9-yr old. Looks like it's really hard to tell how a player will develop when they are still very young.

Well here's hoping Rashford develops into the star player for us.
