Surprised to see no thread about it, the match finished 2-2 with Pogba and Lawerence.

Here was the United lineup

LineUp: Johnstone, Massaci, McCinty, Blackett, Giverin, MKeane, Pogba, Van Velzen, Barmby, Lingard and Lawrence

Here's PS's description of Pogba's goal
A trademark Pogba goal - makes a couple of defenders look silly and then fires a rocket from 25/30 yards into the top right corner.

Ah I was reading his twitter last night, I thought spectators weren't allowed in and MUTV weren't showing it?

manutdreserves Just seen Pogba's goal on MUTV. That kid is so
special, he really can go as far as he likes in the game, barring injury. Pure class

Who's the little fella to Pogba's left at about 19-20 secs?

No, the little white guy who pats Pogba on the back at 20 secs. A head shorter than the others.

The white guy with the dodgy haircut is Lawrence, the really small half-cast guy is Lingard

Luke Giverin, the left back.

Anybody know if Fryers is injured? Not seen him for ages.

He is back in meant to be back in training today...apparently has had tonsilitis and lost a bit of weight due to it.

What caste is he? Brahmin/untouchable? bloody hell I'm not PC by any means but this is 2011 not 1971.

Great strike by Pogba...looked really please afte that debacle at Anfield

Thanks. Didn't realize he was that small. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I've ever seen him play. What's he like?

I haven't really seen enough of him to make a fair judgement. I think he's only part time like Gill, Cleverley etc were so not at the level of the other players and a little lightweight. Seems tidy enough and decent left foot.

Thought it should be noted that Lawrence's goal was very good as well. I quite Luke him as a player. We seemed to play some very good football but often lacked a finish and a true striker.

Haven't heard it since I was young dunno if they don't, more likely to hear mixed race where I'm from now though

:lol:Well I'm only 21, so I'm bringin' it back for my generation

That goal is incredible.

I've actually got a blackboard set up with "I will not be a muppet regarding Pogba" written in rows on it.

As always, much obliged, GII.

Lawrence's goal wasn't half bad either. And Barmby Jr. seems like a very tidy, clever player.

Yeah I knew, was just disputing the term half caste in comparison to mixed race

The word caste originates in the Indian subcontinent where traditionallly Hindus are divided into castes, like a tier/class system with higher castes generally getting more privelagrs.People who used to marry someone from a differet caste( looked down upon) were referred to as half-caste a term that stuck with just about everyone who married into a different race or cast. The term has become extremely deroggatory towards thos from backgrounds whose parents are of different races;caste not being relevant. Therefore if the parents are of say white european and Black African/carribean then mixed race is the more appropriate
