Will be a young Wolves U18s team today as somehow their U23s and U18s play on a same day.

Not the greatest of starts for United, losing most of the second balls and our passing has been off. Wolves pressing surprisingly high.

Getting more and more into the game with more composed possession and starting to press high as well. Gomes' close control & quick footwork is something

Gomes has had a couple of chances to shoot from outside the box, but he's played it wide both times. Should have a go with that shot of his, would make the defense more open as well.

Whelan with a long pass to Gomes inside the area, a pass back to Hamilton. A dummy and a good shot with his left foot. Everyone thought that was in, but ref said no.

Nice play by Hamilton & Gomes, Boonen tried to finish from a tight angle. Still 0-0, United have been careless with the ball, quite an even game so far with Wolves (W2 D4 L12, 49 conceded goals).

Hit both posts but really looked in.

Actually it didn't hit the post - if you look closely, it hits the post, rolls across and hits the metal on the inside of the goal and Bounces back into the keepers arms. That ball must have been 20-30 cm over the line...minimum

HT 0-0. A sloppy performance from United, especially the start. Some possession, but lacking the cutting edge. Trying to be a bit too cute at times. Gomes & Hamilton been decent so far, both full-backs supporting the attack nicely. O'Connor with flashes of what he can do.

Yeah, that's what it looked like, true. In the words of Bobby Manc: "Was goal."

For a team with a form like Wolves have shown - they have been a lot better than what their position indicates.

Should have been a goal from Hamilton. Burkart has been quite invisible this game.

He has. Then again it's only crosses in the box, otherwise we're just passing the ball in 25 metres. Should perhaps do more off the ball.

Gomes got a foot free and tried to curl it in from the corner of the box, straight at the keeper. Bohui shoots from an impossible angle, gets a corner. Starting to look more threatening, obvious intstructions to shoot more.

I like how we always aim to pass it short from the keeper to a midfielder coming deep.

Unbelievable that THAT is a booking, but the studs-up tackle from the Wolves player in the 1st half wasn't.

An impressive header from Bohui from Kenyon's shot-ish cross, just saved by the keeper.

64'min. A superb tackle and run from O'Connor, Gomes finishes an accurate shot from just outside the box.

I really like a lot of these players - but O'Connor must be my favourite

Needlessly took the foot off the gas, giving Wolves way too much space and time.

Boonen drifts in and out of the game, which is natural for some young players. He probably has excellent highlight reels, but haven't seen many solid 90-minute performances this season.

On a side note, one of the most 2 footed players I have seen.

Not only is he excellent with his 'weaker' foot, but he'll also use whichever foot is best suited to whatever situation he finds himself in.

A nice shot by Whelan, just saved. Dearnley 3-0! What a shot!

FT 3-0 (Gomes, Bohui, Dearnley)

O'Connor, Hamilton & Gomes the best today for me.

Big fan of O'Connor, Boonen and Gomes in this side. Also like Kenyon and Dearnley too.

And Whelan and Hamilton did very well I thought, Hamilton in particular showing some lovely footwork at times. Great to see a side where almost everyone can beat a man.

Also, a hand for the Wolves team, defended very well for the most part and provided a good threat on the counter, a little unlucky it finished with such a wide margin. Though tbf that was a certain pen on Barlow for me, very poor refereeing to not give it just because he didn't go down.

The midfield trio played well. The front 3 has struggled a bit before Dearnley came on.

O'Connor is just too quick for this level.
