A bright start by United, Everton struggling to get out of their own half.

A nasty challenge from behind on Chong, looks like he went through his calf/ankle. Looks bad, been down for over a minute. Unbelievable that he got off without a booking.

I understand that referees are a bit more lenient on this level, but that´s a red card all day long. Horrific challenge from behind.

Chong coming off, it seems. Looks like his right ankle/knee (hard to tell). Struggling to put any weight on it. A real shame if he can't continue, a good start from him, and from the whole team really.

Tahith's back, we'll see for how long though.

Unbelievable that he got off with a warning only, it was a bad tackle.

Two nasty tackles on Chong, I like the bravery and attitude, that he wants to continue. Won't let them intimidate him.

We’ve kept them off the ball for 40 minutes and you can see the frustration, the Hornby ”tackle” a prime example. Really impressed by the hunger to press and dominate the game after a break. Will be interesting to see whether they can keep it up.

This group have missed quite a few pens this year IIRC.

Haven't caught much of the U18s this season but how many goals is Gomes on for the season? Seems he scores in every game he plays!

Everton equalise. End to end game because the midfields are too porous, no pressing, we just stood off them until it was far too late. Good in attack but defensively weak.

That was their 2nd chance. Granted we haven't been as good in the 2nd, but we should've had 4-5, once again.

There also easily could've been 3 red cards for Everton. Didn't see the Gomes pen incident, perhaps a 2nd pen, too.

This match made me think of one of the things SAF said. When you miss a penalty, it's like conceding a goal. The drop in morale is similar. It's been apparent today.

True but they could've scored 3 too. Look dangerous on the break and parking the bus. We do look technically good and creative but lack a sitting midfielder.

Aye, the missed pen killed it. After that they were better although we still had a few more chances to nick it.

FT 1-1. Buffonge my motm, another solid display deeper in midfield, a great assist as well. Disappointing, should've had a few in the 1st half - didn't, and let Everton back in it. Hopefully nothing too serious for Chong, he's been on fire.

Buffonge missed a couple of good chances though from the little I saw, they need to learn how to finish a team like Everton off when dominating. You'll always get punished at first team level for that.

That's a bit unfair Everton are a good side, finishing 2nd in last seasons league and went unbeaten in 16 in the lead up to Christmas, they're also a physically imposing team who tried to kick lumps out of us throughout the game.

We've also scored over 30 goals in our last 10 games so we've been finishing off plenty of teams. We just went off the boil after the penalty miss.
