U18: United vs Derby

I guess with it being at The Cliff it won't be televised?

U14s beat them 9-2 on Wednesday, hope for a similar scoreline this time :p

Can't believe this is a home game and it couldn't be televised.

When do the U23s have their next match..? Edit: Monday, guess Gribbin will be involved then.

Tonights Team:

Moutha-Sebtaoui, Tanner, Kenyon, Warren, O'Connor, Whelan, Chong, Buffonge, Bohui, Gomes, Boonen

Subs: Ercolani, M. Johnstone, Dunne, Barlow, Burkhart

MUTV have a budget.

They are not subsidised by the club.

So they can only cover so many games in a season.

That's my understanding.

Yeah I understand that, but can't imagine youth games broadcasting costing that much.

They are owned 100% by United now. They can still have a budget of course although it is in the club's power to increase it.

Exactly. I know club tv channels are not the best but they could make a fortune by having MUTV available worldwide and adding all youth (U16+) games on schedule. Probably not a priority as they make bigger fortunes by signing up noodle partners (which I ofc don't have a problem with, thanks Ed for Pogba) :(

It's not MUTV's fault since The Cliff doesn't have the capabilities for high quality live broadcasting but wonder who decided that we had to play there. Last season we played at Leigh Sport Village in odd occasion that we have a night game.

Will have a big test in the form of City next weekend. Payback time. Kind of the last chance in terms of joining the race for the title.

Yeah it was:

Team Played Points
City 11 27
Utd 13 26

...before today, taking into consideration the quality of the City side...

What quality? There's not much to be fearful about, if our players all do their jobs. As shown last week when they played Everton. End of the day, we have games after city, so don't see it as make or break at all. We still have games against the southern division coming up if we carry on the way we are, so the outright title is still to be won.

Well I think it's safe to say City have a quality team, no? And if they haven't lost once this season (with a +27 goal dif), one could think that they won't lose many either.

United win - 4 point difference (assuming City win games in hand)
Draw - 7 point difference
City win - 10 point difference

So I'd say thay it's a big game in terms of the title, even with a lof of matches remaining. At this level it's of course not only about winning titles, but the current U18 seem ambitious so it'd be a good common successful thing to experience...
