So Chong out injured, Gomes on the bench and Buffonge with the U23s(?) Nice to see some Hamilton & Burkart back in the starting XI.

1-1 after 30 minutes. Bohui put us up after a run by Burkart, equaliser a few minutes later. U16 lead 2-0.

Barlow made it 2-1 from a free kick. He's more than good enough to play regularly tbh if not due to us having too many good attackers at this level.

Maybe just a case of promoting a couple to the U23s who are surely good enough to do so?

For all of you who watch these kids regularly; how do you rate Hamilton?
He always seem to impress me the few times I've watched him!

I've been impressed this season too. Thought he handled the u23s well. Good technically with a sweet left foot. Big and strong which helps at youth level.

Exactly. At first I thought it was just because of his physique he was able to stand out, but as you say he got great technique on the ball and he hits it really well.

He looks like a quite all-rounded midfielder and his physique will only help when he steps up to senior football. I reckon he has PL potential if he keeps it up.

Nice goals from Dearnley and Burkart too.

As others have said, his very robust physique can be a big advantage at U18 level, but I was extremely impressed by him when he started his first game for the U23's. Didn't seem faced at all, just played like he usually does, and I thought he was MoM that game.

In addition to the qualities others have mentioned like his strength, stamina, good technique and a good left foot, he is also deceptively quick.

I remember reading about how he had offers from several clubs when he was younger, but decided that he wasn't ready to move away from home yet, and so he stayed with his boyhood club. To me that shows some serious self awareness in such a young boy, as it's easy to get carried away when the big clubs come calling.

Hamilton reminds me of Matić.

Tall and well built, athletic and useful on the ball.
