Both teams are missing a lot of players due to international duties.

Oh and:

Who are we missing? Whats the reason for not allowing the general public?

Second part, no idea. Not sure, but at least Burkart and O’Connor have already travelled away, O’Connor even playing his second match at this minute. Not sure about when the England squads meet, but if Gomes is away, so are a lot of City’s boys. Players that (I know) are called up to play international games during the next couple of weeks are:

O’Connor
Hamilton
Tanner
Gomes
Burkart

Adding Chong’s absence to that list, it’s going to be a tough one on Saturday.

Think we'll win this simply because we have less players called up for international games. We still have the likes of Warren, Buffonge, Bohui, Boonen, Whelan, Kenyon, Barlow, Dearnley around or even Gribbin if we want to use him

Something like GK - Warren, Dunne, Barrett, Kenyon - Whelan, Buffonge - Boonen, Barlow, Dearnley - Bohui is still a very good line-up.

Yeah just found out that our next U23 match is in April, so we might actually get to field a solid XI compared to City, who have a lot of players in all England youth teams.

By the looks of it we'll be missing O'Connor and Burkart and City missing Sokol and Gonzalez since England u18s and 19s don't play until Wednesday and u17s don't play until Thursday so the english lads will probably play

City’s preview on their website had some ”match-ups”; Luke Bolton vs Kenyon and Tom Dele-Bashiru vs Buffonge, no word of Gomes, Sancho or Foden. Or do you mean those four + the English boys?

I'd say the English lads and Hamilton and Diaz will probably be available because none of the u17,18 or 19 matches involving them are until Wednesday

Yeah, saw the schedule as well. Nice to see them play although I think we might’ve had a better chance if all of the mentioned players were missing. Hope we use Gribbin and Buffonge and beat the sh*t out of them.

#U18PL XI v @ManUtd: Muric, Duhaney, Coveney, Francis, Wilson, Davenport, Bolton, Dele-Bashiru, Nmecha, Foden, Poveda #mcfc

#U18PL subs v @ManUtd: Scott, Rosler, Pozo, Smith, Duncan #mcfc

Kick-off at the City Football Academy is at 11am!

Pretty strong line-up from them. No Sancho but Duhaney and Nmecha are U23s regulars, Davenport have played U23s occasionally as well.

Davenport was a good player last season but got a bad injury.
On his way back now but not yet in top shape.

Yeah bit harsh for Matt Smith to be dropped though.
Agree but he's had a lot of games lately. We have to get minutes into Dav, he's potentially a good player.
Maybe Smith has a knock or on Wales duty?

Sang on for Dearnley. A lot of woodwork and a lot of saves from both goalkeepers, by the sound of it.

Just noticed that we had a new GK, Theo Richardson. Apparently signed from Leeds.
