Mr. MUJAC
Manchester United Youth Historian
There has been lot's of changes within the Academy over the last 6-12 months and it's probably a good time to take stock.
Half way through the season and with the players now enjoying a winter's break, here are some of the stats from the season so far.

Luca Ercolani 1(2)+ 0(0)
Indris Kanu 1(0)+ 0(0) 2
Max Johnstone 0(2)+ 0(0)
Interesting stats with McKenna keeping a relatively settled backline and then just rotating the front five.
Obviously Thomas Sang and Zak Dearnley have been injured since the Liverpool game in August and I would have expected them to get more games otherwise. This has been lucky for the likes of George Tanner who has stepped up into an unfamiliar role at right back and done really well.
The likes of Dunne, Barrett, Ercolani and Fojticek have managed to play regularly in the U/16's and in the couple of U/17 friendly games. Something that didn't happen so often last season.
Makela and Diedrick-Roberts are out on youth loans so everyone is getting developed in some way.
The only player not getting match action is Max Johnstone who is signed as cover rather than as a Academy graduate.
The other interesting statistic is how the goals are shared amongst 16 different players with no-one yet in double figures.
Although getting knocked out in the FA Youth Cup was very disappointing, overall it has been a very good season with the match against City at Carrington being the standout.
Looking forward to the second half of the campaign.
