Just a couple of questions to satisfy my curiosity, not requesting anything is changed:
1. What is the reason for users having a maximum of 100 messages in their in and out boxes? Is it a database space thing? It just seems strange as the messages seem to be stored using the same system as threads and posts are stored and therefore the same size and in which case the private messages even if left unlimited would surely be only a tiny tiny fraction of the boards total database which again I can't imagine is that big in terms of bytes.
2. The search flood control set at 45 seconds, is that a protection from a DDOS attack of sorts or does it help stop the "She canne take the strain" messages if too many people are online and sending queries to the database?
As I said, it's purely curiosity it doesn't really affect me either way with both of them.
