Ok new thread to cover any shows yor watching right now that are worthy of a mention but may not require a whole thread individually.

For us UK bods I'm watching 'Mummifying Alan' on chanel 4. Using ancient egyptian techniques they're preserving the body of a man called Alan. It also is including footage fom the FBI's body farm in Tenesee. It's totally fascinating but not for the faint hearted. Wait til you see what maggots do to a body in 11 days.

Whats really incredible is hearing the voice of he guy who's being mummifed and his family talking.

They're about to remove the wrappings and see if it worked.

Ye watching this on Plus 1 forgot all about it til saw this thread so cheers! It is quite weird hearing him talking from "beyond the grave" but fair play to him for being willing to do it, looking forward to seeing if it does work.

What did you think of the maggots?

Just watching Friday Night Lights Season One... slow starter, on episode 11 now and it's picked up. Still think American Football is bizarre.

Wasn't the nicest thing to see was it? Do quite enjoy shows like this though, whilst they may seem bit tacky it's actually really interesting I think. Alan on the show put it best himself that it's not going to save anyones life or anything but it is good to watch. His whole attitude is brilliant to it I think, seemed a really happy and friendly guy.

I also liked the way it changed the mourning process of the family, they didn't seem to feel the need to have had said goodbye and that he was still a force as such in their lives that they were open about and not going teary eyed over at the slightest mentin of him.

Yeah absolutely the wife seemed to take it very well, like in that scene where she saw him for the first time since the death it was the other woman crying.

They've just "revealed" him a minute ago and it's unbelievable in my opinion. Really is quite impressive and was very good to watch for me that.

I am watching Storage Wars.....but it actually deserves its own thread tbf. Classic show.

Anyone watching Hippo on channel 4 (***)

great bit where some hyenas where eatigna buffalo carcass and it bit into the stomach sack which with all the gases just exploded in a yellow liquid gush.

It's kind of "in" season for me, so I watch so much shit, it's not even funny.

The Mentalist
Hawaii Five-0
Blue bloods
Nikita
Dexter
Supernatural
Modern Family
The Glades
Castle &
Criminal minds

That Teenage Vampires doc on C4...It's weird. People are stupid.

A lot of vampires are getting AIDS apparently.

Supernatural
Modern Family
The Big Bang Theory
The Walking Dead
Two and a Half Men

Don't just list shows guys, try to find something you think people should be watching and why. Specifically hidden gems. Anyone with 4od get watching Brave New World all about current science and trust me it seems like sci fi half the time.

Him & Her on Tuesdays at 10:30pm on BBC3. It's a great little sitcom/comedy in which a young couple (mid-20s) live together in a bedsit. Most of the humour is deadpan and a lot down to the way they interact with each other. It's in its second series and is easily one of the better low budget comedies on TV at the moment in my opinion.

American Shows I Watch

Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother
Two and a Half Men
Family Guy
Breaking Bad
Once Upon A Time
The Walking Dead
Fringe

British Shows I Watch

Doctor Who
Sherlock Holmes

I think that is about it

Is Big Bang Theory really worth watching? I have nerd tendencies but am I ready to admit that I will get the jokes? I don't think so...
