Right so, I was chatting to my sister a few weeks back and she brought back a really old memory of a game we used to have for a really old school console back about 26 years ago. I cannot remember the name of the console but it had a cartridge input. The joy sticks were very basic, with a square base and 1 single red button. I think we had a few games for this including boxing where you would look down on a fight. The bozers were square and you could see their noses as an additional square sticking out of a larger square that represented the boxer's head.

So the game I am trying to find the name for was this adventure type effort where you had to collect chalices, but they were guarded by various different coloured dragons in different rooms. I recall one room being completely black.

Anyone know the name of this game ? Does this sound familiar ?

I've found the console. It's the wooded one in the above image

Any other epic retro games people can think of? Around the SNES/Mega Drive era, somewhere like that.

Without my consoles i feel like i should jump back to 90's and play something epic. I may just play Link to the Past again to be honest.

I loved Desert Strike and Jungle Strike on the megadrive.

Desert Strike blew me away the first time i played it. Jungle Strike didn't really live up to it though imo.

The Atari 2600 was a class bit of kit. One word: Defender! Now THAT was a game! Also R-Type on C64. Them were the days...

There was a brilliant footy game on the Commodore 64. Can't remember it's name. Would love to see it now. It seemed incredibly lifelike at the time. Bet it looks horrendous in 2010.

Cool Spot
Mortal Kombat
Tiny Toons Adventure: Buster Busts Loose
Earthworm Jim
The Lost Vikings

And relax.

Does anyone remember Shadow of the Beast ? Wouldn't mind giving that game a go. Had it for the Amiga 500. I used to burn my games onto the floppy discs and I could never quite work out how to play that game.

Another game I want to find is the Atari Boxing

I had Adventure for the Atari, Kinky.

I've probably got around 100 Atari games locked away in the loft.

Real football fans played Pele soccer

It really is as good as it looks.

What about Boxing?

A bit of skiing (now this was actually quite good)

But the best is unquestionably:

It was released on the Mega Drive. I remember it being fustratingly difficult but still good.

I used to love a game called Kid Chameleon. All my friends back in the day thought it was shit but i loved it.
